In southern California its a nightmare. People seem to think that their parts are worth what they bought if for or more from 5 years ago. I just sold an Asus prime b450m-a with a 3600X, 512gb Silicon power NVME, a cooler master Hyper 212 black edition and 16gb 3200 ram for $150. I think it was a good price and the customer has a base for a decent gaming PC. I'd like to see you guys keep up this series as buying from people on FB or really anywhere can be a little sketchy. Great job as always!

I havent finished the vid yet ... but, you are totally right about people not wanting to sell their PCs.... i have upgraded to the point where the PC i have to sell is not really worth selling due to both the hassle of selling and more importantly the sentimental value of the parts. You really gotta wow people with the offer to get them to sell ... and i know that hurts but no one wants to part ways with what was once $1k or more at some point or brought them years of good memories.

I’ve been doing this as a side hustle for 5-6 years, different market here in Europe of course but it’s very rare to find a PC (or build one from well priced used parts) that will sell for such profit, sometimes there are great deals but they are quickly grabbed by people and shops who monitor the market full time. I mostly get the equivalent of ~$80 - ~$120 on a single config that is of similar value. But it’s more of a hobby than a real income to me, I do maybe 2-3 a month. Nice series!

I don't sell much, but when I do the listing makes a world of difference. I have gotten some great deals because the owner didn't bother to take decent pictures, and didn't list any specs. One great example was an HP low profile desktop, AMD AM3 CPU, 16gb DDR3, and a low profile RX570, it also had a pcie to MVNE with 512gb, and a really nice pcie Intel wifi card. The listing was a single terrible picture so out of focus you couldn't tell if was a PC. He had no idea what the specs were.I was going to be in that part of town anyway, he asked $125 and it had been up for about 3 weeks, I offered $50, he took it. I got it home, cleaned it up (it was already pretty clean), took some good pictures, reloaded windows, installed some games, recorded settings and FPS, posted specs, good photos, and actual FPS results, threw in a $10 monitor, and cheap mouse and keyboard kit, sold it two days later for $200, without having to haggle.

Would be great to have another series like Brian from Tech Yes is doing, the flipping of PCs. Please make it a series.. If you want to test the PCs you buy, bring a small monitor, keyboard, maybe a mouse and a portable power station like a Jackery. Even if you don't continue the series for more than say 4-5 episodes the power station can come in handy in other situations.
