Facebook Won't Open in Chrome SOLVED

Not working. DO NOT reset - if you have customised chrome you will spend more time to restore back to your setting - and this "Reset" video is not a solution.

it works for me... in 2019... however, they removed my chrome extension... I had to go back the seetting and add them again...The Passwords not my big issue ... :D

This reset video is probably the dumbest advice someone could give you. He's practically saying just uninstall and install Chrome again except here's this easy way to do it. How the hell is that supposed to solve anything in the first place? That could result at the lost of tons of important links and data saved you might have not even been prepared to erase but you just go for it because some random stranger on KZbin told us to do it. This kind of things shouldn't come without proper instructions no matter what, shouldn't even be allowed on KZbin for the sake of major population not being able to deal with its consequences. This opens 50 times more problems than it solves.

Not necessary to reset all your settings, just clear your browsers cached images and files. Facebook probably updated some code and your browser is using a cached version. Best first step at least, especially if you have a lot of customised options.

it works for me... in 2019... however, they removed all of my chrome extensions and passwords...so I had to go back to the setting and add them again ... :D. Initially, I did stop the resetting for halfway after reading a lot of negative reviews below... but anyway... I got back my facebook account now. Thanks dude

For me at least, a much much better solution: open facebook in a new tab in Chrome... with the tab open press F12. Then right click the reload button (next to the back/forward arrows). Then select hard reload. Worked for me at least.

You just made me revert back my current Chrome settings to default :( now i need to find a way to undo it. I just realised that my problem was the DNS address. Changed my DNS to google DNS and it worked. Well... thanks for nothing bro. Appreciate you making the video but make sure to tell your viewers about the consequences of what they are about to do. :)

Facebook suddently stopped loading on my pc in Explorer, Chrome, and Opera. I tried everything I could find and finally took the drastic measure of resetting my pc to factory settings, but it still won't load. What could possibly be causing the problem?

While different browsers function in different ways, many of them incorporate the same bits and pieces of software and your browsers maybe mixing with other things on your PC as well as Facebook that might be causing the problem. As a person who wants made their living repairing computers, I can tell you that each situation is unique. What I would do is do a little detective work and find out when things were working just fine, and then try to remember if you did any updates, additions to software, links clicked, or anything like that.

Worked for me once but only once. Same problem with Chrome: All my FB posts from everyone disappear after I've scrolled through them and hit HOME. Then I get a "Welcome to Facebook" with zero posts. Geek Squad entered my computer remotely and spent 5 hours trying to fix it and in the end they had no idea how to fix it other than sending a request to FB which is the helpful equivalent of putting gasoline on a fire. Haven't gotten any response from FB and it's been over a month. I downloaded the app for my computer and it seems to be working fine, just frustrating that I can't access it in Chrome.

Hey Robert thanks for the 411, but I tried it and it didn't work for me. Maybe since the time you recorded this almost a year ago, Chrome has updated. My version is 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit). You said that it would delte all ytouor add-ons; well, it merely DISABLES them. You can go in there and just re-enable them. Now there is a setting to be able to clean the computer. Chrome can find harmful software on your computer and remove it. I tried it twice and each time the search ended in an error. Bottom line is I still had the problem. My Advanced System Care 11 alerted me to 4 trojans lurking somewhere in the chrome syetem in the registry. I deleted those but I still had the problem. It wasn't till it dawned on me the next day to do a privacy sweep under the clean & optimize tab that facebook was accessible again.

This should be your LAST, LAST resort. It resets too much. if like me you have customized many features of Chrome this will effectively kill them, giving you an original, vanilla version. Use with caution and eyes wide open. In most cases, you can fix things with less disruption.

This didn't work. I was getting so frustrated because I don't like using Firefox because it just slows down everything... But apparently it was the Ad block that for some reason had started messing with Facebook for me. I disabled Ad block on Facebook and voilà - it works normally again!

I did every fix possible, the one thing that finally worked was redirecting my bookmarks. I went to my FB home screen and once again added it to my google bookmark, deleted the old one. "its working now" go figure!
