Sounds like you mixed a mint sakuma drop with a fruit flavored drop lol, one at a time is the best way to have them... If you didn't already figure that out yourselves... not finished with the video, but sad for the wasted candies... lol RIP sakuma drops! - (time passes, comes back and edits... adding more...) - Okay finished the video earlier and meant to add to it sooner... got lost in another of your videos, because I just found you the other day... lol But, out of all those goodies you tried, the sakuma drops were probably the best (poorly judged by you peeps) lol I figure I would mention the container, post war design... guess it was easy to pocket them (for the soldiers etc) and I suppose they would have survived the war in that packaging too lol. (I'm just guessing... no real idea why... but I love the tins... I got a set of 5 and was so mad, they came all the way from Japan - from an Amazon seller- dented! every one of them... and when these are dented it's impossible to fix them... but then my mother-in-law passed away and I forgot to complain... needless to say she was a wonderful woman the type who go out of their way to help you no matter what as soon as she possibly could... her husband, my father-in-law, had passed away before this only about a year and a half before this, another great person who never complained about anyone, a quiet man who wore his heart on his sleeve and fought for our country in World War 2- he was actually too young to enlist, his own mother faked his documents so he could join... they were poor and needed the money... okay talking way too much- sorry 😅 so uhhh just really miss them terribly... losing them makes me realize, besides my wife and children... there isn't many in our family left that are like that... if we ask anybody, "Can you just pick up some milk and bread for me? I'll give you extra for gas..." mind you my in-laws were always picking stuff up from the store for us for free... and the gas money these people who are left in our family isn't enough... they complain to the rest of our family... I do the same for them and never complain, but just the way I am... I fail to understand people who are mean like most of our family and friends... though our friends are a little better... lol - Sorry for blabbing in here wayyyyyyyyy too much ':) please forgive me. ) The reason I got it the first time was because of an award winning movie (animated) "Grave of the Fireflies" Wonderful but sad movie... if you have yet to see it, I highly recommend it to anyone over the age of.... 9? (I guess it depends really... if you have been exposed to a death in your family or friends or anyone I suppose... you can deal...) I have to say that brand of Sakuma Drops - I'm not familiar with it, but if they're like the others, they're good... just if you have two or more, make sure they're all the same flavor or at least not mint with fruit... ewwww.... This page is from the original brand and has info... I translated it myself with google translate extension/add on but it's here = www.sakumaseika.co.jp/prdhistory/ it's pretty interesting anyway...I have tried 3 different brands myself, but then again, to each their own if you try it again and still don't like them... ok, scratch that page... maybe... this page shows all the different packaging over the years www.sakumaseika.co.jp/comhistory/ very interesting I think... though I have been awake since 1 am and it's 8:31 am... lol. And one more add on this @8:40 am... I just wanted to add that my favorite thing about Japanese snacks, drinks, candy, is they use less sugar and salt than we do like 97% of the time that I have seen/tasted... We live about 3 hours away from a huge Japanese chain of stores, but the best of them is "Mitsuwa Marketplace Edgewater, NJ" They have such amazing food... the sushi is always fresh and the best I have ever tried! (I almost thought they closed when I looked it up for the correct spelling lol I almost died... I want to go there for my birthday- again... it's my favorite place in the world, right up there tied with Disney World...) I wish they still did online orders...
