Jus use a office chair that rotates and use the most diffuse lighting possible. Do not take photos from different angles! Move the model not your position, then you have the same light direction for every photo taken (SHADOWS ARE BAD). Make use a a tight cap/hat or stocking to hide hair and take closeup shots to use as filler in PS once the tex-map is created.

Hi! It's not possible to create a MetaHuman within FaceBuilder itself. FaceBuilder x MetaHuman combination gives you a chance to add distinct skin features of the person on the MetaHuman. Can this tool use Metahuman topology as the basic mesh for interaction? I modified the MeshToMetahuman plug-in to directly use the mesh of Metahuman topology, which avoids the possible shape difference during the second tracking

Hi! No, unfortunately, FaceBuilder doesn't support any other meshes except its own since the deformation model is bound to our topology.

Esta buena la tecnología pero no creo que este a la altura de los rigs profesionales y mucho menos de un modelado realista, aun así creo que es en este momento una herramienta genial para darle vida a los personajes de los videojuegos en especial a los de la industria indie, antes costaba mucho hacer un buen rig de la cara, pero con esta herramienta uno puede obtener algo como lo que busca de manera fácil y rápida, lo que si seria bueno que la herramienta de MetaHuman Builder tuviese mas posibilidades de ajustar la geometría para poder corregir la adaptación, en especial de los ojos y la boca.

I use Daz 3D Studio, Cinema 4D, Ai upscaling apps. with many other plugins. I shy away from these applications which are online, dedicated, pay monthly services. I have the PC power to resolve any computational processing needed to get my creative resolve completed without needing some sort of processing server. What is the point in buying 4090's and having DDR5 if these 3D services are online only?

Hey there! Feel free to give creating a head model in FaceBuilder a shot with just this one picture. Just keep in mind that the model won't be perfect. Also, the texture will come solely from this picture's view, so you might need to do a bit of manual adjustments in Photoshop or a similar tool.

The biggest issue with mesh to metahuman is the eyes. It will, 90% of the time, make it so the rig can no longer blink correctly due to the eyes being a different shape than what the rig supports. And the only way to fix that is to blend off the Mesh to Metahuman overlay around the eyelids so it is only using the metahuman face scan. But then, of course, you lose the the unique eyeshape of your model.

Importing it to Daz3D, Blender, and Character Creator 4 they look good and resembles the actual person. However when they imported to UE5 & Metahuman, it looses the resemblance by like 30%. Why is it like that? How do you fix it? I'm asking because I'm slowly getting into it, but don't wanna waste my time going further with UE5 & Metahuman because it will just loose all the quality of my model. So help save me some time here if you can.

@keentools Basically, when you import a 3d model character into metahuman, it changes the way they actually look by, like 25%. I know this because I watch a lot of tutorials on people importing 3d characters into metahuman, and every time, metahuman changes them slightly. For example, if you have already made a realistic looking Keanu Reeves, putting it into metahuman will just automatically alter his actual looks by 25% or more. Idk why that is, but UE5 & metahuman can't recognize any imported 3d models from any other program. It alters there, looks automatically.

How can I access eg 4k or 8k textures from my Metahuman with this workflow? In the video you only have 2k textures for the face when you export those from UE to then work in Photoshop. I used the same workflow and downloaded the highest quality of my Metahuman through quixel bridge into my UE scene but I only have 2k resolution texture maps when I export my face textures... How can I get higher res face textures? Thank you!
