I love the backstories you do on some of the people. I love just reading the headstones but learning about the people just adds an extra level of interest. Thanks for what you’re doing, it’s appreciated!

Ever since I was little I use to be so facinated in looking at headstones and wondering how people ended up there . My Father died the day after I was born in 1983 so I've been visiting him my whole life and I have so many memories sitting at the cemetery with my Mom and seeing so many peoples resting place . Young people and old people . This is very interesting and heartwarming that you honor the dead and tell us a bit about their life .

If you ever go through Riverside, California there is a veterans cemetery there. It is really beautiful. My husband's grandfather is interered there. We drove through the other day. I think would make a beautiful video and nice tribute for veterans.

Hi Lamont. I am from Singapore a small island with no land for such burial. Your channel is an eye opener for me. If not for your channel l am unknown to such beautiful cemetries. The sound of the wind and birds singing is so peaceful🙏🏻

So what happens to all the people who die in Singapore?
@MissButtonFudge3 жыл бұрын
They cremate them and either scatter the ashes or it goes to a repository. Land is scarce on a small island.

I have been watching your videos for a long while. We don’t live in Fort Scott and I had never heard of this before the other day. Thank you so much for this particular piece. My husband and I have been considering where we want to be buried. So our kids don’t have to worry about it when the time comes. Within the last week my husband told me about this very cemetery. I did a search and saw this video and another you did on this place. I can’t thank you enough! My husband was a photojournalist for several years and I doubt he even knows that Gordon Parks is buried there. You without knowing, have helped me immensely with making this important decision. I appreciate all your do! Much love from Kansas.

I agree with u Lamont...I lived through the years of segregation and all the stuff that went with it and thought how even with all the problems that went with it that ppl treated other ppl horrible..I know the Good Lord made us all and how He must weep to see us not treat ppl the way He would want us to treat each other...Its just as sad that even after death ppl still separate them in burying them.

Idk why people think of cemeteries as spooky. They are the most beautiful and calm places on earth. It’s also sacred ground. I hate it when people put gravestones as Halloween decorations. That’s what we will all be and our ancestors are buried in the ground. They deserve more respect then that.

I live in Denver Colorado, but both of my parents were born in Fort Scott, Mom in 1912 and Dad in 1915. My mom and maternal Grandparents, William Alvin and Mary Ethel Clark, are buried at Evergreen Cemetery with one long head stone towards the back end. Was hoping, but with so many, it was not shown. You didn't mention, but isn't Evergreen the 1st National Cemetery? Seems like it had some distinction like that. Does anyone know? Mom died in 1982 and that was the last time I ever got back to Fort Scott. I never lived there, but because my parents grew up there I always think of Fort Scott as my home town.

Im 38, born also in 1982 so Shanna Lynn would of been 38 if she where still alive today and that year of 1994 we had an accident on the way back from a field trip back to school we were in a school bus and it hit a guard rail at an OVERPASS bridge! If that bus would of gotten about more in the middle of the edge i would of been dead to! (That bridge was really high!) Lord Jesus i thank you for sparing me that day and be in your grace and achieve my spiritual goals so i can be with you forever, back then i was a rebel and not religious! Again Jesus Thank you! May all these souls including Shanna Lynn rest in peace

I see many of these people were in car accidents. I drive cross country a lot and the US routes can get dicey. Especially when there are lots of hairpin turns. US Route 60 through eastern Arizona is one of the more treacherous roads. I stick to the interstate as much as possible.

I don't know if Lamont did but my boyfriend had a paranormal experience in a cemetery. He was visiting his mother's grave in New England and couldn't get out for some reason; heavy snow or locked in, I can't remember which. He ended up sleeping in his car by his mother's grave. His mother's grave had a battery powered light on it that shown during the night. In the morning he examined the light because he was surprised it would still work after so much time. He found the batteries corroded and rotted.
