Best decision by the OCS to implement Marine DI's in their training.

At least they live in dorm like rooms. The enlisted bootcamp live in compartments with 90 other recruits.

True, but it is longer and more psychologically difficult than Basic.

I was both at boot camp and OCS in 1956. I lived in barracks in both places. OCS was easier because everyone around you made it easier.

I wasn’t navy or marines, I was Army. But for what it’s worth, the men and women you’ll be In charge of, went through this times 100. We understand what you did, we all did it.

What are the candidates yelling in 8:17, 8:27, etc? They are a lot longer responses than your typical yes/no sirs. Is that likely to be the stuff in that packet that the OCS site says to have memorized verbatim like the sailors creed and oath of office?
@Dan506934 жыл бұрын
Yes. General orders of a sentry, chain of command, ranks of the different branches of the military, warfare insignia stuff like that.

How many times did I have to yell the General Orders, and once out never yelled or had to remember them again.

@@StreetnastyEntertainment in my dad's case it was the Tech Sergeants, Master/Senior Master/Chief Master Sergeants were the ones to fear. The scariest of all was the Command Chief Master Sergeant. Even the Base Commander and XO treaded lightly around him

@@chrismc410 oh yeah I understand. Your Chief Master Sergents and all sound equivalent to our Gunnery and Master Gunnery Sergents. Regimental XO and CO treaded lightly indeed.

The objective of war is to bring conflict to a peaceful conclusion. It is not to kill the enemy. The first step to peace is to limit weaponry; not to kill the populace nor to kill the combatants. When the weaponry is gone, the war is over.
@owenirc5139 Жыл бұрын
This is absurd. The objective of war is to impose your nation's will onto another nation. The objective of war is not peace. The objective of war is successfully achieving national objectives. This is usually called victory.
