Thanks. How are the results when you disable face restore? In my experience although this does improve the overall quality of the face it also changes the intended face actually quite a bit (in your example as well I'd say). Does setting it to none maybe yield to even closer resemblance of the original face? Thanks

not sure, this depends on the generated images i guess, so this might differ from one case to another, certainly, it changes it slightly, in general, i didnt find the results of Roop to be as effective as a good trained LoRA with after detailer, but Roop is still a quick way to do change and fuse the faces, so it may has its uses.

Update: just double check A1111 with a fresh installation, Roop is still an official extension, going to Available, pressing on Load From, search for it (roop) you will find it's extension name (sd-webui-roop , editing, manipulations), just press install... so it has not yet been removed from A1111 official extension list.

as Roop ceased development, new extensions that are based on roop are slighthly better such as ReActor kzbin.info/www/bejne/naislWiEirN-es0 you might want to check it out, however, many people reported that installation didnt complete properly with some models not properly downloading, i had no problems with it however.

not necessary, it can be used stand alone, but this video is about using it with SD, so in this case loading a model is part of the web ui check the link in the description for where to use it stand alone, more details in the github page github.com/s0md3v/roop

not sure, there might be some issue in the installation if you restarted A1111 and the extention has not appeared .... currently Roop has ceased development anyway so I am not sure if the extension is still supported in the most recent A1111 version, there is ReActor instead which is built ontop of Roop and has more options, some reported issues in the installation however, so if you go issues you should ideally check the installation issues in the github pages, or try another faceswap extenstion that might have less issues, please consider watching this for ReActor kzbin.info/www/bejne/naislWiEirN-es0&lc=UgzZAh9CGLpmc41qysF4AaABAg

most likely this is because Microsoft build tools are not properly installed, please check kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqDXnIaagpJ5sLc to install it, this should solve this issue I think.

unfortunately, it will distort the output in most cases, this tools is not advanced enough to do proper masking and avoid objects infront of the face as far as i know, one must look up other tools for this purpose.

not sure why, it was there when i made the video...you can still install it manually from its github page github.com/s0md3v/sd-webui-roop if you didnt find it by going to install from URL and pasting its link and pressing install then apply changes and restarting the A1111.

I just checked even with A1111 v 1.6 which is most recent update, it is still part of the official extensions "sd-webui-roop editing, manipulations", you need to make sure to go to Available tab, Load from, and search for the extension because the list is large, it should be there .... if not for any reason, I suggest to either update A1111 using git pull, or use install from URL instead and install it from its github page at github.com/s0md3v/sd-webui-roop

I think this is a new issue with A1111 backward compatibility, I was just checking other extensions too that are no longer working on the new A1111 1.6 version despite being installed, hopefully these problems will be solved soon by A1111 or the extension developers.

Just double checked, you can watch this video fix kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpXOc6B6pLp8r5o which allows running Roop even in A1111 1.6 version , check from kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpXOc6B6pLp8r5o?t=67 or watch the entire video whichless than 2 minutes to see alternatives such as downgrading if necessary.

it is a button in the Resize to section, there are three buttons, Off, the two arrows, then the stick underneath, when we click it, it reads the image dimensions automatically see it in kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXrNe3Z7oJJlo68 if you dont see it, i think the reason might be that your extensions are outdated so you should update
