You have now unlocked weekly bosses. There's 2 in Mondstat: Stormterror and Boreas. The second one you unlock it by playing the wolven kingdom quest. This bosses can be farmed once a week each and they give you materials for the characters' talents.

Just a tip, taller characters move faster than smaller ones. Also using characters with alternate sprints like Mona reduces stamina consumption. Check elemental resonance too if you haven't. It gives party buffs if you get the correct elements.

Idk if alternate sprints reduce stamina consumption, does it say so anywhere in the game? If anything, I remember reading somewhere that they actually aren't affected by characters who have sprint stamina consumption reducing passives (Kaeya, Kazuha, Heizou, Razor, I don't remember anyone else)

At least the early bosses, but the late-game bosses are sometimes a jumble of elements And honestly I was a person who kinda got hooked on the game in Mondstadt, I don't even know why, I honestly just like the story and Venti and Dvalin dynamic, plus, I played the old events, and also love Dvalin airlines (from the first Golden Apple Archipelago event, haha)

But the story is lacking and is a mess still, and if someone is playing catch up without spending the same time absorbing the scenery like we did 4 years ago, the region will feel even more underwhelming.

But idk, I guess I just took a lot of the inconsistencies for granted and moved on, heck, I didn't notice a ton of things at first, but I remember spending hours in a single day just playing the game and doing the story and levelling up 😅 Mondstadt story is a mess but kinda fun, the only one I did without skipping dialogue on all my 3 accounts (the others I basically skipped to the parts I wanted to replay and honestly didn't bother much with a lot of stuff)

By the way, in Genshin there's a lot of time limited events that are gone that give really important lore and also develops some charaters. At some point in the future when you are further into the game I would recomend watching them.

I agree that they really need to go back and give the Mondstadt archon quest a once-over. It has tons of mistakes where the voice lines don't match the spoken dialogue, the character is misgendered at random, and there's lots of places where the dialogue just cuts out. It could also do with some more exposition in places or straight up rewriting large parts of the quest. There's several awkward lines or moments that just make no sense, or times when they have characters talking outside of a cutscene and the player is left confused if they should stop and listen or proceed with the quest. There is precedent for updating it, they did it in HI3 where they went back and re-wrote the first couple chapters a couple years after launch, so it could happen but who knows.

really tho? liyue isn't exactly that much better, and inazuma is far more in need of a rewrite. sure Mondstadt is not fantastic or anything, but its a decent all around start to the story, at most needs a few technical fixes like the wrong voice over lines, which I think is only an issue in EN anyway. If someone dislikes the story so heavily in Mon, they arent gonna like much of liyue or inazuma either...

Yeah... You could even notice at the very start when Aether first unlocked the Statue of the Seven and gained anemo, and during the cutscenes in Mondstadt when Dvalin made tornadoes in town, that Aether's voice, despite being in the EN voiceover, has the JP actor's grunts. But for a prologue, I think the story is fine. It's a nice intro and it has many tutorials that help the new player get used to the game. Infodumping everything right at the start is a good way to deter new players so a simple story was a good move

General has defeated Dvalin and has unlocked the weekly boss. oh and wind characters upgrade stones, just press the thing below the item like HSR and it should show where to get it. Just don't use Heizou or Wind MC bcs it may be immune.

Don't worry, the storytelling gets better with each archon quest and region. And the souvenir shop is Marjorie's shop, opposite katherine in mondstadt. And during dvalin's boss fight, when he falls onto the platform, you can actually climb onto his back to attack him easily

Something important is that if you press "R" , you can switch between normal and aiming mode on archers. You can also mark on the map the chests/ collectable that you are leaving, so you won't have to search for them later. The souvenir shop is Marjorie close to Katheryne.

Heizou tips, you will want to trigger swril elemental reaction with him to get stacks (pop up floating UI). At 4 stacks his Skill will do a big fat nuke to enemies

you can only get stacks from swirling after his first ascension, which you need to go to inazuma for. inazuma unlocks through a quest at AR30.

most of story elements in Mond the devs assumed that you've read the manga because it was released before the game so many personality traits and storylines were cut off because they didn't want to make the tutorial quest so long

someone already probably mentioned this but clicking the left mouse button while gliding or falling makes you do a plunge attack which is 1. faster to reach the ground 2. reduces fall dmg in case you do it from very high up (like in most games like this one) looking forward to the rest of the story hehe!

you can hold Heizou's skill to gain charge more easily. you can also attack in the air to do a plunging attack which make you fall faster and lower your fall damage (bellow a certain height it even completely negate it)

39:00 That chest unlocks for making it across the gap.. you'd be surprised about how many people mess that gap up XD Also, the first light actuator quest is there to show you how the mechanic will work before you go away to do the 3 other puzzles. Mondstadt does a lot of handholding because it's a tutorial-esque area for the prologue. Technically, you haven't started the main story of Act 1 :D And lastly, yeah, the voicelines are pretty messed up in this section for everyone. Mihoyo never fixed it or redid the weird awkward dialogues to make them better. I think they had other storylines they wanted to do that got cut out and it effected some things. Some people are hoping when we get future Mondstadt map expansions, that they will revamp the older areas. I really hope they do. ^^;

As for banners, both characters are from Natlan and can be used, but as Hoyo has already announced the banners for the second half of the patch, I would recommend waiting for those as they are more beginner friendly in terms of access to materials for them.

By the way, when leveling up characters, there's three different books with different amounts of experience that they give. The purple one gives the most and Fischl only needed a little bit of exp, so you wasted over 9k exp points there, since they don't get added to the next level.

you can pull for the "red biker lady" if you want, maybe keep her in your back pocket in case the game gets annoying or too hard at some point.... i'm phrasing it that way cause she is capable of trivializing both the combat to an insane degree, but also exploration, especially in the early game areas, just mostly due to how the early areas were designed. it really depends on what kind of experience you want, do you want to experience it how other players did? do you want to just blow through all the content? do you want at least some challenge early on, since there can be a bit early on, but characters like "red biker lady" can make that not a thing... so its really up to you what kind of experience you want. i suggest playing her trial before you pull her, cause it will give you an idea how crazy she is.
