It was not a quick judgement little girl. Just a week before people like him were being butchered by people like the young men who had dreadlocks on live TV with the police and pressman watching. It was not an unfounded fear cos the issue that sparked the whole violence had not been resolved. Over 2,000 people were displaced from their homes and others burnt in churches. Luos like Pete were being circumcised alive and left to die. Faith in humanity was lost. He was justified in his fears but God wanted to teach him another lesson. You young people speak carelessly on social media sparking tribal animosity without knowing the demon you are arousing.

I went to a garage full of Luo mechs and trust me, you feel the difference in the energy N vybe. But they ended up being honest than my mech. Since then I go there all the time. Nice guys despite calling me okuyu and jaka something I don't know. I got pissed drunk in Homabay and Migori speaking kikuyu. But having dealt with misconceptions from my own tribesmen coz of being Pan Afro, I felt better in luo land dancing to nyadundo. What am I saying? You could be more safer in what you perceive as "foreign territory" than you are with " your people" in "your territory"

Pete Ondeng, thanks for talk show, you're such a good orator. Much regards to the 'Engage Talk' that invited you and gave you a platform. Pete, you were the reason I had subscribed to 'Character' magazine, decades ago, at a time when I was jobless and hustling in the city just after college. How I missed you write-ups, esp when the mazagine stopped publishing. I didn't know you are this young. I even wonder, now, how old were you then? At what age did you started writing, or were you still in college those days? Are you still in journalism? And if so where? Anyways big up man, you are hilarious.
