Dps doesn't matter on main hand really, just top end dmg since ambush and bs is based on wpn dmg. Off hand the wep speed does matter because faster wep = more poison procs.

Definitely missing out on not going remorseless attacks. At least 1 point in it. +40% crit on every single ambush is huge, since you use it on every mob and getting a crit takes 50% off a mob's health. Helps a lot when you chain mobs and 20s is enough for it to last between mobs. Makes ambush crit rate 85% from talents alone, basically guaranteeing crit unless it misses.

I know as a hardcore player leveling professions is probably the last thing on your mind. I was going to ask what your professions were. Then I thought about how much it sucked doing professions for an alt. All those people saying hit is better are 100% wrong, first of all you need to spend 5 points into the tree which offer NO DAMAGE, You only need 9% hit to hit a raid boss consistently not normal mobs and those 5 points you spend in Assassin instead of combat go directly into DAMAGE without a single point wasted, Half your chat is a bunch of mages that have no clue how rogue works. Hit is just another damage stat and other stats can outweigh it especially if the pre reqs to get that hit are all wasted on talents that literally offer no damage as apposed to Malice. So in total you need to spend 10 points to max out precession and only 5 of those points offer damage unlike assassin tree every single one of those 10 points offers damage, Assassin points are better.
