In my mind I thought this game wasn’t scary and caseoh was just overreacting, I WAS WRONG, I played the game I didn’t think it was scary. I made decent progress I had the mission of life pod 7, so I went far and around the aurora, until I reached the craters edge, Complete nothingness around me, A Blue Void that covered the oceans colors, I looked at the aurora, then looked back down then I see the huge mouth of the ghost leviathan coming to eat me, I was already in its mouth thankfully I survived and it swam away, then I went closer to the aurora to escape the craters edge and I made it close to the aurora then I see the reaper leviathan right beside me, somehow it didn’t see me and it swam away, then I made it to my base, saved and quit playing for a break. i always thought he was being dramatic as well, I restarted playing (my last game didnt go far lol) and have also come to the realization his fears are so valid as i have had my own fair share of close calls and leviathan jumpscares...have yet to beat it and currently trying to get thru the lava zone without dying to warpers😭 my best moment was when i went to the aurora for the second time, not knowing the reaper spawned in more places than the back, parked my seamoth by the ramp-like entrance to the aurora and BAM reaper has taken my seamoth and flung it 100 meters in the air along with itself....i love this game

(note: ive played Subnautica before, but I was being stupid) So I was going behind the aurora to gather parts for the cyclops. I found an engine part and then saw something on the ocean floor. I said to myself "nice ima just hop outta my sea moth rq" I then start swimming.....a couple seconds later I see the face of a reaper two feet away. I pause the game and decide "UNSTUCK BUTTON!" push that, get teleported to my Moth four feet away and.....the reaper goes for my Moth. I use my seaglide and get away as fast as I could, I then heard an explosion in the distance.....if it wasn't for Mothy (my nickname for the sea moth) I probably would've died. RIP Mothy 2024-2024.

Him asking questions about materials irl is actually a really good one, ( ~ 37:00 ) if the conditions were met to make as he said, diamonds, why wouldn't it still be those same conditions? It's really a time thing, most of the materials we gather now took an almost unimaginable time to form, and by the time we are finding it, it could also be an unimaginable time since it last met the conditions to form. So there are some places were our valuable materials will "respawn" but on a time scale far beyond us. Glad he stays curious despite chat not wanting him to learn and just feel bad.

Just gonna take this time to honestly congratulate Case on getting to what is essentially the end of this game. Being THAT afraid of the water but going the distance is insane. Case, to farm copper i recommend to go on reefbacks and collect barnicles. They almost always drop copper and theres a lot of them on each reefback. Also to farm all shale ores go to sea treaders path, its near dunes. There are friendly big things that create a ton of shales by walking. Please like this comment so case sees

Hey case or anyone else just a fast fact there are 5 reaper leviathans around the aurora so don't go behind it or the other side Places: 2 near the thrusters: 2 on the opposite side of the aurora 1 by the front kind where you enter. Case, theres a bug to make the seaglide go FASTER. It’s pretty easy to set up. Build a tube and a hatch, flood it (propulsion gun is the fastest way to flood if you have it) and partially deconstruct/reconstruct the hatch when inside to reset the effect when reusing it. I have one below my base that is technically part of it to lower the lighting levels in my base as a bonus.
