I just found him and at exactly the right time in my life. It does appear things happen for a reason. I needed this right now. OMG how empowering. I might take a few hits as I learn from him and try to be lovely myself, but I am ready willing and able to move forward in the open, honest, transparent loving ways he describes. Careful folks! ❤️

i really like Geoff Ive been in the same situations but more mental physical emotional and sexual abuses witnessed things most people should never see in a hundred life times worked the doors like him loved his watch me back awesome thumb up. one thing that i aways remembered that he said about demons. demons are not to be feared they scare you at first but when you walk towards them they actually show you the truth they dissolve and reveal that they were actually your friends there to help you..not an exact quote but my words

So you avoided confronting your fears because you wanted to remain comfortable. But isn't that just a natural, instinctive response? And presumably the reason you confronted your fears and went through a period of self-imposed discomfort, is so that those fears wouldn't bother you anymore, hence ensuring your comfort in the long run. Either way your motivation was to be comfortable. Now, the question is: is it the act in itself that is noble, or is it the motivation behind the act that gives it nobility?
@wexfordmma610 жыл бұрын
the latter
@snakeplissken8310 жыл бұрын
wexfordmma6 So you think that Geoff is noble because he sought comfort?
@wexfordmma610 жыл бұрын
yes but in the way it was done , you may be seeking comfort in the long run but getting there is not so easy , many people dont manage to face there fears , but if you do its not just for your own comfort as you may grow as a person along the way and this will benifit others around you and to try to improve other peoples lives by being a better person is noble is it not ?
@snakeplissken8310 жыл бұрын
so striving to be more comfortable makes you a better person? He has undoubtedly achieved a lot, but then that's why I asked: is it the act (facing his fears of confrontation) or the motivation to perform that act (no longer wanting to be afraid) that is noble? For instance, I could be on a run away train packed full of people. Lets imagine that every other passenger is disabled, and nobody but me can get into the locomotive car to apply the brakes. So, naturally, I go and do it, the train stops and I save everybody's life. But how do we know that my motivation wasn't simply to save my own life? I could be an evil, wicked, selfish person full of hatred, and yet by acting in my own interest I end up saving the lives of others. That's what I mean by the difference between the end result of the act and the intention behind the act.
@wexfordmma610 жыл бұрын
but that act would have made you a better person than before even if you had been a selfish person so the more good you do the better you become ,i am not sure i can prove a straight out ans. to you, thats just how i see it
