I have a story about the erasable pen... When I was a kid I used to write my homework with that type of pen but during the winter I usually stay more in front of the pellet stove and put my book and notebooks on it... I didn't know that the pen ink cancel with the heat so I was surprised when I come back after the afternoon snack finding out that half of my homework were disappeared so after that day a always put under the book another couple of them or my Italian book (700 pages)and it never happened again So lesson learned if you use that type of pen never leave your paper/notebook near a heat source 😬😅 4:22 that's why now there's only the on or off "option" 4:33 same thing with the alcohol bottle (the pink ones) 8:00 my childhood ❤

Dude, a teacher of mine said that she had to fail a student a really important exam because she left the exams in the car during summer. When she went to mark them, one was blank and at first she didn't know what happened so she just failed them. It was then discovered that it was because of the eraseble ink, and from that point forward, for that official exam, it is advised to not use erasable ink to do them.

Hey, if you read this, the balloon trick does not necessarily require tape, just poke a hole through the balloon right next to the original inlet-hole, around a centimeter away. the balloon rubber is thicker there, and does not tear as easily, of course, if you poke it too many times, or too far from the thick section, it will still pop xD now, about that danger warning about the plastic can, and the san bruno disaster: in the disaster you mentioned, the gas mixed with oxygen, and exploded. but inside an aerosol can, there is no oxygen, which kinda defeats the purpose of your example/comparison. if you do light such a can on fire, the gas will likely just push the flame away, and even if the can runs low and the flame gets closer to the can, by then there won't really be any gas left to shoot out and explode in the first place. secondly, even if it comes out slowly to begin with, the plastic lid will melt and begin to seal it shut, or at least it will try, but the gas coming out will probably maintain a constant hole, even if the hole starts getting bigger, the flame will then get pushed away again as fuel comes out faster, and so it stops melting the plastic. but even if it kept melting, as the hole gets bigger, the gas rapidly comes out, and burns up, it would leave essentially no gas left in the bottle to explode. the gas has to have some time to mix with air in a stoichiometric ratio for it to genuinely explode, and that _takes time,_ which it doesn't get since its all constantly burning up, and not given any chance to thoroughly mix with oxygen first before igniting. trust me, aerosol cans basically never explode in this way, its just too improbable to get the perfect conditions, and honestly, *they often aren't even possible to begin with.* even if you stab the can with a knife, and hold a flame up to it, they usually just shoot fire for a few seconds before calming down, they still don't explode. on the other hand, they _frequently_ explode when left SEALED in a _heat source,_ such as outside on a hot day in the car, or in the sunshine, I had a lighter explode for that very reason. my point isn't that its impossible, just that its really not likely to happen, and it usually just melts and burns up, shooting some fire, but not exploding. so stay safe, but keep in mind that an exploding aerosol can and a big fireball are a fantasy expectation, and will never realistically happen. cocoa powder: extremely fine and dry powder is hydrophobic, since air is hydrophobic, and the powder is full of air, and since its difficult for water to flow through such small spaces because the surface tension and viscosity get in the way, this means that it takes forever to fully soak into the powder, and therefore it stays dry.

Hand sanitizer’s flames are hard to see I think because they are mostly ethanol. Ethanol is a compound that is flammable, but shows no flame (unless mixed in with a different chemical)

So the paper thing got me curious because intuitively there’s no way a piece of paper can be configured to reach the moon, right? If you’re using a standard 8.5x11 inch sheet of paper and fold it 42 times, it’s surface area would be 0.0005 nanometers, which is 1/1000 the width of an atom. Paper is made mostly of cellulose which I estimate to be about 1 nanometer wide. Assuming you can’t fold the cellulose molecules, you would need a piece of paper 41ft x 32 ft (rounded up) to be able to fold it thick enough to reach the moon, and it would be a little over 1 cellulose molecule in surface area.
