I lived in Japan back in the 80's. I was on the way back home from teaching an English class, and it was about 9pm and had been raining. There was concrete Jersey type barriers separating the 4 lane highway for each side. From the opposite side of the road, I saw a HUGE splash of water coming at me, and then saw the UNDERNEATH of a car that had ramped up the side of the barrier and then flipped into my side of the highway; it landed behind me. It was terrifying! Where I was I couldn't pull over to help, but there was plenty of traffic behind me to help, and I don't even know if anyone was hurt or not. That's always bothered me; not knowing. 😟

It is physically impossible to watch a child at every moment. Unfortunately, any working/unworking parent would understand this very well. We really have no idea, what she was doing on her phone. However, since shes in an office and is talking on the phone, we could assume shes probably asking to be buzzed in, or conducting business. We shouldn't forget that a person isn't always on the phone for entertainment. We should also not forget that children are humans with their own will, so they can freely do whatever at any point in time. Children are always moving around regardless of whatever responsibilities the adult world may require. There's often very little accommodation for the world of a child in work field, especially if the parent wants to keep a job(which helps provide for the child). We also know that humans are creatures prone to mistake, and are never perfect. For us to say that a parent is wrong for taking their eyes off a second, or even 5 minutes, is simply foolish, for lack of a better word. If it wasn't clear from this video already, the world is unpredictable and unforgiving. Life or death accidents happen in the blink of an eye (especially when someone isn't prepared for it). There was no way to know that was gonna happen. And the women was in no way at fault for a moment of relaxation. We shouldn't try to find blame in the victims because such a unpredictable accident happened. We shouldn't ignore the fact that the woman visibly turning, following, and watching her child, clearly aware, during the duration of her call. We shouldn't ignore the fact that the only reason her child survived, was because her loving maternal instincts kicked in to save him. We shouldn't disregard the argument that most places would offer some glass protection on railings like these, and it is reasonable for the mother to assume such glass is there at first glance. We should understand that the adult world is taxing, children are unpredictable, accidents are unforeseeable, and humans are naturally prone to mistakes. It's easy for us to judge someone in a life threatening situation, from the comforts of our seats, so sometimes, we need to look at the bigger picture.

The train incident one really angered me. There are kids who die yearly (none in 2020, mostly due to lockdown) at the level crossing cause they do stupid stuff like this. One girl got missed by the train going out of the station, only to lose her ugg boot escaping it, so went BACK to get it only to be hit by the mineral train (it travels further down) - the driver has to live with that. Just don't do it. Don't be idiots at crossing. Do not stop your car on the train track for ANY reason (always make sure you can clear it if there is traffic over it). Do not cross the train track if the warning lights/siren are going and the barriers are down. They're not there for fun, they serve a purpose - DO NOT IGNORE THEM.

The mother that caught that little boy from falling Period is scary but you know she never drop that phone Down till after she caught him
@jamiedecker78533 жыл бұрын
She didn't have time to think about dropping that phone
@jonathanellis87373 жыл бұрын
I can't imagine the terror she felt, if you look closely her first grab missed and her second was almost too late. People in that kind of life and death situation usually don't let go of what is in their hands, unless they have prepared to do so through forethought or training.
@nixiethepixie3 жыл бұрын
Because her brain is like "gotta grab hold of baby!" it doesn't give an F what's in her other hand at that time, it's purely "this hand is free, grab with this handgrabgrabgrabgrab"

Another example why you shouldn't have your face shoved in a cell phone when walking around or when your supposed to be watching your child. That mother was fortunate and if you pay attention she didn't let go of her cell phone at first,she caught the kid by leg with left arm,held on one armed then dropped her phone and used both. F@*# that phone!

When I was 15, my family and I traveled to another city fot my grandfather's aniversary celebration (was my father's parents). When we were coming back to the city we live in we had an accident, someone let his cattle out and one went to the road, the bull went runing across the road and my dad (who was driving at that moment) turn the wheel fast to avoid crashing the animal and he looses control. He tried to recover the car but we end up going out of the road and the car starts to rol over because we hit a big rock that made us flip. We roll over three and a half times and the car end up stoping on my side (i was in the back on the right side). I think I faded for a moment, but when i woke up my foot was trapped between the cup holder and the back seat, so I tried to lebrate me. Meanwhile my mother stud up and told us (my bother and I) to calm down. Sudently my father (who at the moment I thought he was unconscious) starts to dropping a lot amount of blood from his head which ends up falling all over my mother. She keeps her guts and help us out of the car. She cleans a bit herself and right after that she check us out for any unseen damage (she used to be a paramedic), unfortunatly my father died that day, but my mom, brother and I left the car unharmed, no punches or bruises, just some cuts of the broken glass, even there were rocks everywhere on the crash site (The autopsy said my father died because of a head injure, something hard hit him on the head (most probably a rock that enter on the car while it was rolling) and died instantly.

The mother catching her child by his ankle nearly made me cry with relief. I have a 3 year old son and it just made me think about how i would react to this happening with him. I'd never let my boy go after that.
@edmartin8753 жыл бұрын
You would react the same way that mother did. Parents have super powers when it comes to saving their kids.

6:39 the groom made things worse by covering her head with a large portion of the dress. I think she might have cleared the dress if he didn't do that, the guy in the blue striped shirt saves her life by undoing what he did.

Regarding the very first video I'm taking back to my high school days and my defensive driving class. They stressed that if you were at a red light that turns green you should always take 5 Seconds to look to your left and to your right to see if there are Vehicles approaching at an accelerated speed to try to get through the light. Yes people in back of me honk all the time but I have also avoided many accidents because I can tell that someone approaching the red light on my left or right is not going to stop. Remember folks it's not about how you drive it's about how they drive!

Not just those who have a child of their own, anyone who has a young kid in their family (ie niece/nephew) have that same flare of panic when they're in danger.

My sister and I were driving home from a friends house in separate cars. We came to a stop light where we had to make a left turn. When the light turned green she went and a high speed chase went through the red, right in front of me. She pulled over, shaken, and I came through the intersection and pulled over behind her to make sure she was ok. Was a close call we will never forget.

That car crash with the dozen spectators was crazy. It seemed like every person moved or stayed in just the right spot to just avoid being hit. Amazing that all 12 walked away with barely a scratch

I loved the lorry one and the woman with baby running to safety. but if your the parents of 2yrs kids in these times, watch them very carefuly and not, watch your mobile phone, good thing she save the baby from falling, pay full attention, put your phones down whenever your in these moments
