The turret push against me was certainly something i did not expect, already with me not playing soviets that much. And a unconvetional strategy taking place, most certainly made it fun to try and fight green alert there that day. Really did give me a reason to get more back into some PVP.

Love the idea of pushing players out of their boxes. Game 1 answers the question that was buggin me during Chrono-clash: "what if Allies start building more airfields and Apollos against Empire?" I didn't say it out loud cause i didn't want to give A-mains any more power. Welp, the djinn is out of the bottle now.

When i play vs some other players (more recently it has gone rather well for me vs 4 airfields or more). Doh other than that the games have not been entertaning enough to be worth uploading. just regular combat really. tengus vs appolov / vindicators. If the allied player goes for more airfields the empire player can either go for vx as the allied player appolovs cant stay to close, or go for more tengus + Point defence drones to shread through the line. (and if to many add the attack speed buff to it) (asuming the tengus are on the ground first)

I like this format...it changes the dynamic a lot, A lot of new units are being used because it forces the top tier players play on their off faction. I mean power force artillery and king oni vs v4 and app tanks at the same game ❤❤❤❤

Could you position the "end of game" audio cue to whenever the game actually ends? You always have it appear a few seconds too early, so I can automatically tell the game will end there even when some fighting is still going on.

@Sybert, Do you think we could ever see some "low-elo" tourneys? Low tier players like me struggle to truly appreciate the art of guys like htis, I'd love to see a video of just guys with like less than 200 hours in the game duking it out!

C&C games except cncnet ra2 don't have that many players where "low skill" players and their adventures to get good make for a fun viewing experience, specially in retrospect that the general playerbase that already exists on ra3, kw... are catered being accustomed and familiar to each other as that's how they practice and get better in the game. While you don't or rarely get new faces without the notion of being a smurf to try and play the game to see unorthodox gameplay.

Great cast as usual, @sybert, and an extra thank you to @brettabraham! :) I was wondering whether there was a reason why GreenAlert didn't just fire the ultra torpedoes on the akula subs straight across the map on Temple Prime instead of actually going to DutchArmy's refinery starting from 3:39:00. It seems like that would be safer and I assume that alignment wouldn't be an issue either, since you can just command the unit to go towards the ref and then fire.

That kirov should never have been allowed to destroy the refinery. The GreenAlert let the apollos slowly chase it.

Defender cores have less hp and speed than other nano cores. Maybe the developers made this change because they thought Empire turret pushing would be too strong since they could build anywhere. It turned out it was not the case at all, since their building could be damaged during construction, and they could not be canceled like the soviet ones.

I've been waiting for something like this for a while and hope to see more. (Would love to know the statistics of the Wins 😅) Imo they shouldnt be locked into the same rotation but be free to play whatever faction - but lose that option until they've tried the others. Another potential format could be that they just need a win with each faction, sort of being a best of 3. I thought the first set of games were very entertaining and had some great goofballs. The last two pairings a bit too one sided.

Regarding the very first game, empire main losing so horribly to a soviet main on allies (who hasn't even used any cryo tech), how much more proof do we need on how giga busted allies are? Can't the pros agree on a community patch after all these years? No? The leaderboard is full of allied mains who don't want their toys taken away from them? Allies will just dictate games for all eternity, while other factions have to try and adapt to allied gameplan with soft counters, hoping the allies slip up so they maybe get a chance to win the game?

2:01:08 it would be great and logical if Dreadnought special ability (overheating with increased firerate in cost of losing health) will be also saving him from Crio attacks. Basically you cool down it and it stops loosing health , but also not freeze. Unfortunately it will be never done.

also Tesla trouper special ability can have similar 'heating' effect to save nearby units from freezing with crio on the land

I really like that concept thematically, it's a cool idea and not that far off from an idea from development idea that mirage tanks wouldn't kill frozen units, but instead thaw them. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea in practice, trading health to negate a unit attack/ability but at least it would be another tool to be used.

I long for the day we get an air ban tourney in this game. For the aspiring game designers: game 1 is why you shouldn’t give your rts faction access to air from T1. Game 2 was plenty fun

Giving T1 air is fine. But that faction should be weaker in other areas and/or have air that's significantly weaker than others' higher tier air. Neither of which applied to Allies.

@@vantuz8264you’re right, but I do still think giving air access to a faction in rts from t1 is just bad. I don’t know if any rts that does this and based on ra3, I can see why.

@@Insomnia1234o00o People "ignore" this because it's irrelevant. In 1v1 and most 2v2 your expansion speed is limited by cash, not by buildspeed. How many top-level matches started with 3-ref Empire opening or crane Soviet? Close to zero. In every other game Allies expanded at the same speed as others. And as for "map control" it's outright not true. Vindicators and Apollos give the best map control.

@@vantuz8264 Nah, people just hate Allies, and at this point it has became a meme. If allies air is that good for map control then why do tengus beat them all the time? Why do allies tend to perform worse in maps that have a lot of buildings in the middle, like cabana republic? If such weakness are irrelevant, then why do even good allies players consistently have 1 to 2 less expansions than their opponents? Like why even bring up 3 ref openings or crane? Soviet and empire don’t need to be this greedy and they will still out expand Allies normally.

Hi. Nice as allways. Can anyone tell me why Uprising is not played like this? I mean, wouldn't it be like deneing Yuri's revenge in favor of vanila RA2 in the case of RA2.

Uprising is single player only and the balance is built around that, there are some units that are exceptions however like how archer maidens and mortar bikes are good but also fairly balanced and could end up even more so easily

Oh I most certainly did, I was in full frency trying to figure out how to deal with the situation as, unkown strategy (with unkown proper counter) for a faction i dont normaly play :D I belive what I should have done to recover was to grupe my 2 sickles together. / expand to the water.

Allies are *very* cost effective. However, when an Allied player gets cocky and starts spamming builds and fragile units, Their economy goes so far down the drain that the army becomes a burden. Which most of the time results in a loss from what Im seeing here.
