Is fractional factorial a specific part/subtopic of Factorial design explained here ? I have to study it for Design of Experiments in Quality control. Just starting...

Fractional factorial is not something I have encountered in Psychology

I have a doubt ma'am. Can you please answer. How is two factor Anova with replication different from factorial design?
@DrKristinAtchison5 жыл бұрын
It is a factorial design. It is one way factorial designs can be beneficial. Two-factor ANOVA is the statistical method to analyze a 2-factor research design

Do the variables all have to be in the same research question? Or can it be this: Does caffeine do ....? Does alcohol do ....? Or does it have to be this: Do caffeine and alcohol ....?

I'm basically trying to learn whole response surface methodology for shape optimization of mechanical component (mounting bracket) Which is the assignment given to us by our dumb professor for subject of CAE, he thinks RSM comes under CAE Now I'm here trying to learn everything within 2 days. Wish me luck PS: he did not teach us RSM or anything about DOE gave us assignment saying do something extracurricular

So when it comes to factorial designs what would be the eight conditions?
@DrKristinAtchison7 жыл бұрын
What do you mean? I am not sure of your question.
@sattvi6 жыл бұрын
2x2x2
@DrKristinAtchison6 жыл бұрын
Yes, that design would have 8 conditions. Its a 3-factor design and is harder to interpret because of the increased number of interactions.
