I absolutely am enthralled with your speed runs. Ive got like 100 hours in Factorio. And I’m still in awe every time I watch your precision when doing the regular speed runs. And I’m just blown away by the fluidity of the 100% build. Also, I know you do it all the time, I just can’t wrap my head around how fast you launch rockets. Minimum 15 hours for me lmao.

How do you put in only one coal at the beginning i can only do half of what i have/fits in it or all but not one at a time? And also How do you do the insert everything it Nerds into the assembler? I think I would need a shortcut video :)

@@tilf3067 for the latter question, control-click on an empty square in your inventory, and everything that can transfer will. (It's also a way to put your entire inventory (or as much as fits) into a box, etc.) And, there exist shortcut videos like this... tips, shortcuts, tutorials... they all exist out there. I hope you find some you like. :)

There's an achievement to get a train on track within 90mins. That's its only purpose.

Oh, hey... at one point when you were in combat, it got me to thinking: Do you ever record your Biter Battles runs? Any chance we could see those on KZbin? I'd enjoy seeing/hearing it from your perspective... instead of just the spectator streamers (though I do also enjoy those).

Meanwhile, consider this a humble request that maybe you do upload one here sometime. Anyway, congrats on the WR! Bummer on the science. Maybe some speed3's for science (and/or labs) beacons?? (Right, it is a WR? You kept saying PB at the end, but title says WR, so I'm assuming it is and you just didn't realize it was in the moment, because you were aiming for better.)

Time spent connecting dots: 5⅓ hours. Time spent laying out dots to be ready for connection: uncountable. :) (Or I dunno, maybe Nefrums does have a count of that? I don't know. I just imagine it's a lot.)

Is it not worthwhile at all to create a stone brick smelter at the start, so that you can lay down stone bricks all over your early-game travel paths?

I don't know, but I'd guess not, given how much of a plan there is around avoiding walking the same path more times than necessary... To pick up the bricks and lay them down would take extra time! But, I dunno... that's just an impression.

@@DavidLindes The idea, at least as I conceive it, would be to pick up bricks whenever you walked over to stone or are otherwise in that area, and then lay them as you're actually traveling a route you might need to do more often. E.g. the paths he frequently walks between the construction belt and the initial mineral patches. Or even between different mineral patches during the very early game if you can squeeze in an extra miner/furnace early enough.

@@hurkyl1560 yeah, it's an interesting question. It is more time to set up, and costs inventory temporarily, etc., so it wouldn't surprise me if it had been considered and ruled out, but... I could also imagine it helping. Dunno! :)

I think scther199 is talking about the 50sec that Nefrums uses in the beginning to search for a map. I think its a reasonable standard to put on these type of speedruns.
