Holy fucking shit they actually made a proper generator setup. Now if they stopped putting chests at the end of their transport belts and sips learns to use spiltters for that iron smelting area they'd have a decent factory going here.

+Melon Soda I think I prefer it with arms. The splitters make conveyors turn into an octopus, especially because you need to double and triple split if you want to get the right proportions.

+TheOldalf They are bad because, for example, they have a line delivering potions to the science lab right? When the potions go past all the labs (if the lab is already using some or full) they get deposited on the chest. They have potions to keep research going but they're not using it because it's in the chest. "Concrete takes so long to research"

It is true that some things like potions can go without having a chest for the "overflow." The difference with the plates is that they are actually needed by the player to craft stuff regularly, so a chest to pick them up from is perfectly reasonable. Their concrete research took forever because they were running on like 10% power, not because they had a chest at the end of the conveyor. Even if the beakers had been in the labs it would have still taken forever because of the power shortage. I think what people are ripping dicks about is that the chest for iron plates isn't feeding any iron back onto the line, but that's not really something to rip about because the reason that THEY want that chest there is for a place to pick up iron from. Looping it back onto the line could potentially empty it in the event they did run out, leaving no iron to fix whatever caused the shortage.

I don't really know anything about this game other then watching this series, but it seems to me they would make more iron plates with solar panels then they would with speed upgrades.

+belzedk Solar panels are actually quite annoying because everything slows down at night. and they give very little power. You have to make like 20 for them to be of any use what so ever. they would probably need 100+ to fix their power problems during the day

Some people play the game to try and make things as efficient as possible. Some don't. It isn't necessary to make everything 100% efficient to "win" the game. Let them do it how they want. If they discover more efficient ways to do things, great, those moments make the game fun. Telling them the most efficient ratios for boilers or demanding they look things up on the wiki isn't fun. Doing things the long way adds longevity to the game/series. Looking up a walkthrough and blitzing through the content is boring. Sure, there's a point at which ignorance can grind progress to a halt, but they are nowhere near that, they're doing rather well imho. Textwall dump/rant complete.
