I love your videos but there's one thing about the constant rate that confuses me. When you change concentration the K value changes but it also says concentration does not effect K value? It also says the only thing that changes the rate is temperature. Is there generic rate and equilibrium rate or am I just confused?

Hi Lei'a'i, the rate constant (k) value will not change as long as the temperature is held constant and even if the concentrations change. The Equilibrium Constant (K) is constant as long as temperature is held constant and even if concentration, pressure, and volume change. I hope that helps. Thanks!

@@OldSchoolChemistry Thank you for the response! I think I was getting the equilibrium rate constant (K) confused with the rate of reaction constant (k); which, if I'm not mistaken is dependent on concentration, pressure, phase, temperature, and surface area.
