Man this is the best sounding one played on a video on youtube of this contrabass flute, most just have a breathing sound to them. but this guy actualy has enough air to play it, this is really mellow and kind of funky lol.

@astrotrain53 It's interesting. Did you know many japanese samurai and monks used the bamboo Shakuhachi as a baton to defend themselves? They used it with tambo jutsu techniques :)

i don't think you were really paying attention if that's all you heard. there are definately recognizable notes and it sounds good. the metal "clashing" and the air are supposed to represent the whole "factory" theme. he does well

Male violinist here and I agree! Flutist and violinists get the most crap and we don't ask for it! We merely play an instrument that we enjoy!

Pitched in C, two octaves below the concert flute (the lowest note is the cello's lowest C).

talk about key clatter, that is a pretty creative way to play it. I do really like the upper regester held notes, give us some idea of actual tone of instrument.

are the fingerings relativily the same as on the C Flute. Like how the piccolos is mainly the same as the C Flutes.
@cesarvidelac14 жыл бұрын
I don't know why everyone says that flute is a girl's instrument. I think It depends on the music you select. I'm just an amateur, but nobody has ever teased me because of the flute; Perhaps is because I look like the soldier with the scars from Avatar and did some martial arts. Although I love my flute, I confess I have more skill with the combat knife! :D

@Moojgoo2057 I hear you man. I have a friend who played Bass Flute through middle school, but he got back at his tormentor who played trombone at the time by cracking the bully on the head with his bass flute, in turn knocking the bully out cold

@Moojgoo2057 In my high school band, almost all of the flute players are girls, who play normal flutes, and the only guy who plays one plays a tiny piccilo.

Surprising how it sounds a little like a sax, maybe a Bari, at about 0.28. Very cool sound, tho.. love the lil' clicky percussive things he is doing.Like a flute in a fun-house mirror.. OR Andre Kertesz does the video...

Yeah. Instruments don't have set genders to who's supposed to play them. I'm a guy and I play both flute and piccolo. Well...then again, I also play tuba, but that's a different story. Also, most people think only guys can play the tuba. Our principal tubist last year was a girl. And our tuba section coach (she's a professional) is also a woman. Point is, anyone can play whatever instrument...if they can hold it/handle it. Like small people can't play the tuba XD (physically o.O)
