The way I see it, it is a good investment opportunity. Buy 1 bitcoin now (€46), have the equivalent of €100 later. Continuous exponential deflation is unlikely, as people can only go so far (where deflation is not the contraction of the bitcoin supply, but the increase in value). Demand has to fall when only the elites can get their hands on them. A surge in btc/EUR and btc/USD is likely due to raging inflation. Bitcoins will be like gold or platinum, unreachable for the common people.

A finite supply is one of the key factors that make something useful as money. Gold has been money for thousands of years. What "problems" are you talking about? Every fiat currency has crashed and been replaced. Precious metals remain. To say "there is only 7.1 trillion dollars worth of gold" is entirely irrelevant. A dollar is nothing more than a digital unit of account that is created at will out of thin air. How does pricing gold in "dollars" affect gold's utility as money?
