There were some cases like that... But very, very, very few and I'm pretty sure if they African kingdoms saw that they were under threat, they would fight back against the Europeans despite not having the same access to guns and advanced military technology, but they'd fight nonetheless and there are in fact many historical accounts during the European colonial period of African tribes, empires and even villages rising up against their colonial invaders and oppressors.. Take the Zulu and Rozvi people of Southern Africa, they actively resisted European colonialism, the Rozvi people even halted Portuguese expansion in the region completely... Yes in the end they probably lost to to advanced European technology and military tactics but not without putting up a brutal fight and taking as many colonial soldiers out as possible... This is something that modern woke education also completely ignores, there's this tendency to paint Africans as helpless victims instead of valiant freedom fighters who fought tooth and nail to defend their lands and people... But again... Not every African nation at the time resisted the Europeans, some aligned themselves with them, some made trade agreements and some entered military alliances with them too.... I absolutely hate how modern woketivists try to paint these historical events as completely one sided or as totally black and white when it was far more complex than we think because we as humans are extremely complex too, but sadly we lack the capacity to do any complex thinking and for some reason only think in binary perspectives

@@Facts-Over-Feelings You’re incorrect. The Catholic Church was the first group to release a Papal statement condemning the slave trade & warning they would excommunicate any Catholic who participated in the slave trade. The Catholic Church condemned the new form of slavery being practiced in the New World; the racialized slavery. The Church continued to release statements condemning slavery until 1890. Back then as is still true today, some Christians decided they did want to be told what to do & not only continued with the sin of slavery but they took Bible verses out of context, misused them, & even lied about the Bible & Christianity. In today’s world, the biggest area where people refuse to follow the Bible & church teachings is in the area of sex. Christians aren’t supposed to have sex before marriage, & once married, aren’t supposed to use birth control, masturbate, watch pornography, or even have sex with their spouse in any way that would disrespect their spouses humanity & use them for sexual gratification in a dishonorable way.

There are nice and decent people in the world, but as God’s Word says, “ Man is Basically Evil!” That is why Jesus came into the world, to save those who believe and repent! Genesis 6:5-15 5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created-and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground-for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Noah and the Flood 9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. 14 So make yourself an ark of cypress[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it:……….. Genesis 8:18-21 18 So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives. 19 All the animals and all the creatures that move along the ground and all the birds-everything that moves on land-came out of the ark, one kind after another. 20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. 21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.

@jrs mac man isn't basically evil. God doesn't say that man does. It's an excuse to do bad things and then claim it as simple nature. It's not, evil is learned. During our most vulnerable years we are taught to do and think the things we do later. Man teaches man to be evil. It is not a basic part of him. We can overcome that which we are taught.

That, one, glaring omission, alone, should give any rational observer (Niebuhr) pause, wherein the application of salt to whatever postulate is being presented, should be liberally applied. *YOU MAY PURCHASE MALE OR FEMALE ꓢꙆ ꓥꓦꓰꓢ FROM AMONG THE FOREIGNERS WHO LIVE AMONG YOU. YOU MAY ALSO PURCHASE THE CHILDREN OF SUCH RESIDENT FOREIGNERS, INCLUDING THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN BORN IN YOUR LAND. @@vanessamartz7596 "Christ and Christlike behavior is the only answer." Historically, your Christ is the #1 justification people have used for racism and other forms of discrimination. Your Christ was the justification for the genocide of the Mesoamericans with the first Spaniards reading a proclamation from the pope when they arrived declaring their orders to convert and kill all of them in the name of your Christ. Your Christ was the justification for Manifest Destiny and the slaughter of the native people. Your Christ is the justification for miscegenation laws. The KKK is a Christian organization. Most white supremacy groups identify as Christian actually. Hitler repeatedly said in his speeches that the German people were God's chosen people and they were creating a Christian nation. Your Christ was the justification for the slaughter of the pagan Slavs. When you get right down to it, almost any atrocity you can come up with that has been committed by man has been justified using your Christ.

The infiltration by fabian socialists (marxists- c0mmunlsts) into religions, governments, etc. That caused most of the "civil wars" & revolutions, around the world. They twisted history, education, science etc for the purpose of power, $$ & control over the populations. We were all. Psy opped into the consumerism, rasssissim , divion, fear , sick, poor .. all makes "you" easier to control & manipulate. Because, WE have the power. WE outnumber "them" , by massive amounts. If we see & learn the truth, the lies, we unite. They can't have that. Then we elect those who are not their puppets. And we have prosperity, and family, which they hate. So they have systems everywhere to maintain their control. Once you see THAT matrix of control, it crumbles, and then we stand up, their game board topples & they loose. Do you see why their media, and everyone goes after, everyone who. Doesn't fall in line? Sadly, its not going to change. Forget the slavery narrative. Replace it with whatever you want. Humans will always find a reason to hate other humans. And its not something we can ever change. Because its built into our DNA. And I don't mean that metaphorically. We are animals. Humans forget that, or assign themselves a higher order than the 'rest' of these dumb animals. But you're just an Alopecia Ape with funny mouth noises. Sure, words allow for compound knowledge and the neat ordering of thoughts and memories, but they have done humans a disservice too. Because every decision and action you have ever taken was out of animalistic urge. You just wrap it in words. Then add some more words. Then sprinkle some words on top, until you have an epic love poem written in iambic pentameter. And the recieving bald monkey reads these many flowery words, and understands the message. "Me want use your butt." Every conversation you've ever had is just an ooga and a booga with more steps. You are genetically identical to Oog and Ug. Tech evolved, thanks to funny noises. *You* didn't. The point I'm making here is predicated on you accepting that humans are, in fact, animals. Something everyone *knows,* but no one *believes.* How do animals survive and evolve? By competition to cull the weak and pass on the strongest genetic material. What happens when a group of animals enter a no struggle situation? Struggle is manufactured. The animals split into groups and steal/snipe/go to war with the other group. In this way, the cycle of life has evolved to overcome natural struggle. Check out the Mouse Utopia experiment for a detailed record of this in action. Racism is a lie. Just like that love poem. Its the words and concepts you use to justify or explain the instinctual urge to not like someone, or some group. Hatfields and McCoys, for instance. The exact same hate, yet these people were the same race. Race is just an excuse. *We* don't even understand why we hate some people. Because its an urge. Like needing to pee at 3am. It just *is.* No one accepts or discusses this fact. And, I get it... its depressing. Accepting it means accepting you can't *ever* change it. But gravity doesn't stop working because you think you can fly. And ignoring the heart of the issue only exacerbates the harm. We look at a kid throwing a tantrum, and shake our head sadly and walk on. We know. We've been kids. Seen other kids do it. Its just a sad fact of being human, that shameful act. Now imagine if people actually knew where racism came from. Instead of building generational hate, you'd act like you'd seen the tantrum kid. Or the 40 yr old guy's new convertible. Just another of those shameful human episodes that many of us experience as fellow humans. Racism won't end until hate does, and hate will only end when the ladt human alive buries the second to last human. For 5 minutes. Then he'll start hating those loud-ass wolves or even himself. Thats just the truth. And truth hurts.

To answer your question, that happens when we quit saying "black man or woman" and "white man or woman" where it is not needed. Especially in the news. It's needed when describing someone for a reason, but not just to say it to get attention. They could say like, "A man was killed by a woman at the beach" instead of "A black man was killed by a white woman at the beach" Bcuz does the color really matter? No. A man was killed by a woman. It was murder no matter the color.

Many people have inherited property and money from slavery. The entire railroad system was built from the profits of slavery. The entire British Empire benefited from slavery and the sell of cotton. @@PSBaker-hk5deand all of those African tribes who assisted in the capture and sale of their own black brothers and sisters and acquaintances should definitely be held to account. They too profited, they too inherited land but stole that land from those they captured and enslaved raped and sold. We start at the supply chain and hold them to account and work on outward of that or we don’t hold anyone to account. ANYONE with a bloodline related to the slave trade of black Africans by black Africans should be held to account. Angela Davis, Kamala Harris, and many others must be held to account. If you don’t believe the supply chain is the first place to hold to account, then go complain somewhere else. If you think fixing evil is only done by perpetuating more evil, then you are wrong. Giving life and blood to end the practice is more than enough to atone for what happened. Nobody ended the enslavement of Africans the way the US did. Not even close. I’m not a leftist or a republican but I’m not going to let evil retaliate for evil. If grudges continue, we’ll never progress.

@PS Baker over 400,000 military aged white males died to end slavery in America. America reconciled itself between North and South through a final act that made ALL Civil War veterans were U.S. veterans. It was so bitter that brothers fought against each other viciously without remorse, yet we came back together. It was no easy road to re-unite even in deepest way but it happened. I donthink that ALL Americans today agree we need to reconcile the past but the issue is we disagree on how to accomplish it.

Regarding "so-called" leaders. Here is what Booker T. Washington had to say (over 100 years ago, in 1911) about some of the kind to avoid: “There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs - partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.” ― Booker T. Washington

Yep. That is exactly right, and it's always been that way. There are more slaves today, right now, than at any other time in history, but because we're so ingrained to think of it not as economic injustice, but as a racial one, the fact that over 14 million people are held in slavery right now gets ignored, brushed over and excused, so it continues at a previously unprecedented rate. And it's only getting worse.

Let me just say I've never been to the US, so its often hard for me to understand how American cultural conflicts work, or how Americans developed such a skewed view of history even in their educational system. But seeing you think for yourself, even from a young age, gives me hope for the future and you're retailing of the pain you saw in the hood and the reflection of such pain in your face really touched my hearth. Its really tragic to think they're are children growing up in fear in those hoods and that they're are people who prefer to keep that way to maintain a convenient lie rather than tell the truth and help these children. I can't imagine what it must have been like to live like that and I admire you're courage for overcoming it and your strength of character for not letting that destroy who you are and still being someone who thinks for yourself instead of being told what to think, you have the makings of a leader and I applaud you. From the first time I began watching music reaction videos, you have been my favorite "reactor." You easily beat out my runner-up, the Rob Squad, even though that duo also has some priceless reactions and are from my home state. As a veteran of Vietnam and the turbulent years that followed, rock music was a central part of my life. It's why I so thoroughly appreciate your spontaneous reactions to the music from back in MY day. Like when you marvel at Stevie Ray's guitar virtuosity AND his "stank face." My politics changed over those years reflected in my movie choices before and after I went to Vietnam. The last movie I saw BEFORE I went there in 1969 was "The Green Berets." The first movie I saw AFTER I came back in 1970 was "Easy Rider." That was at Ft. Sill, Ok where, even at an army base, the audience cheered loudly when the reefer toking began. I was one of them. I've changed a lot politically over those years since, but especially since the late '90's, when I first tuned in to that rarest (then) of radio hosts--a black conservative human computer known as Larry Elder. Like you, he was raised in South Central where he worked in his hard-working dad's cafe. His book about their reconciliation is terrific as is his political commentary. Whether you align with him or not, he is a classic debater who challenges his adversary while respectfully disagreeing with him using logic and facts instead of emotion and name calling. Though I have loved your music reactions, I always wanted to hear your thoughts on politics. (I thought you might follow the example of the LFR family who also started with music reactions then went deep and unafraid into political waters.) So, it feels great to see you dip your toe into unknown waters with your reaction to the Thomas Sowell video on slavery. I have that book, and anyone who says he is not a valid and brilliant historian should check out his bibliography. As the pundits say, "he brings the receipts." Sorry not sorry to use so much bandwidth but in closing, as a happily aging white guy, I will never apologize for believing more in the advice of Dr. King than Dr. Dre. I remember when favoring character over color was a good thing. To me, it still is. But we can never have unity if we keep focusing on identity. Thanks, Jamel, for keeping it real and always enjoyable.
