Hello, thank you for this video. I was hoping you might elaborate? I know there isn't one size fits all answer, but do you advise each actor to write all the facts from an omnipotent point of view - where every actor lists everything indicated in the script? Or do you list facts from your character's point of view? For example, in a play we might see that John's having an affair, however John's partner, Mary, never suspects. If you are an actor playing the character of Mary, would you list, 'John is having an affair' as a fact - or is that something for the director and the actor playing John to list? Cheers

Hi Mark. I would write Facts & Questions from the omnipotent point of view. So the facts are seen as facts from everyone's perspective. Then, as you say, you can dig into which characters know what and which facts are known by which characters. One of the aims of Fs & Qs is to have everyone 'singing off the same hymnsheet'. So that everyone has a solid blueprint, a map or a plan of the world of the play. Rather than losing time in rehearsing over-debating what's true and not. Once those facts are settled, then you can delve into characters' knowledge of those facts. Hope that helps. ^Alex
