How can you not like Frankie, Fabian and Bobby Rydel even though they are before my timel? I saw Back to the Beach the day it was released to the theaters. One of the best movies of the '80s. I knew about his trumpet playing but didn't know he cut early records or made an appearance on the Jackie Gleason show. WOW!!!

Frankie Avalon will always be a teen idol in the singing department. His voice has always been crisp and spot on .his the boy next door approach paid off big time. God bless him singing beyond 80. Such a great talent 👏. Go get 'em Frankie 💯 may every dream come true 👍

Actor then singer. He is Awesome. He might have gotten tired of making the beach movies but we loved them. Classic movie channel has finally brought back some of (not Frankie's movies) but the young love movies I haven't seen in like forever. Like (Where the boys are), (Palm Springs Weekend), (A Summer Place), I wish they would put more of these types of movies back on to rewatch again.

I didn't realize he was so young in the late 50's, early 60's. I love his songs Venus and Beauty School Dropout. Grease being one of my all time favs. I first saw Grease as a stage play in Melbourne in the 70's, was thrilled when the movie arrived, and then last August, saw it as a stage play in England. Unfortunately, haven't seen Frankie live in a stage play. That would be Amazing! Glad he's still going strong!
