When I was a young man I was riding my motorcycle and it started to rain a little so I stopped off at a diner and I walked inside and there was a beautiful woman wearing a red coat with long brown curly hair sitting in a booth by herself and something came over me so I asked her if I could sit there she said sure no problem so I sat down and she went back to reading her book and this song came on the radio and we just smiled at each other and felt the moment no words were said and after a little while I got up and walked out and said nice meeting you she just smiled and I got on my motorcycle and I drove away and it’s 25 years later And every time I hear this song I wonder about that woman and what if....

I was listening to this song on a bus on the way to my college and sat beside a handsome fellow. When he needed to pay for his bus ticket he dropped some coins and I helped him pick them up... that's practically the only interaction we had. He was quiet and extremely reserved, I could tell from how he positioned himself next to me; back was arched like he was hiding behind his backpack, phone almost hidden behind that backpack of his. He wasn't listening to music or anything, just using his phone. I wanted to talk to him so bad, but never found a reason to do so, or a commonality we had. Besides inside the bus it was extremely quiet so if I were to talk with him people would hear my attempt at befriending him. His stop was before mine so he just got up and left. I remember his stop was in the arts building inside his university... wow. I also like arts! If only I knew that he was an arts major then I would've started a conversation... I never got his name, or saw his ID. Since that day I always keep an eye out for him in the bus. I always think about how life would have been if I did say hi, and if we did become friends... This song reminds me of him, because he practically (cheesy) 'faded' away. I miss him in ways and for reasons I can't even describe.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to reply! :) Sadly, it's been about a month and a half now, and I still haven't seen him again. I don't know his route either, so I don't know where to place the printed paper in that case. I hope I see him again in the future. Or, rather, I wish I had just said hi already... guess this further solidifies my belief in the word "YOLO"!

The song reminds me of a girl i met from wisconsin. I had feelings for her. I couldnt tell her. I didnt want ruin what we had. She was beautiful. Smart. Successful. I was so attracted to her. She told me she was transfering jobs out of state. I was crushed. Reyna i miss you. I think about you sometimes. I hope everything turned out ok for you. I miss staring into your brown eyes. this song reminds me of my mom. we are so alike with our attitudes sometimes so we can get into some pretty rude fights. but at the end of the way before bed she tells me she loves me and she does everything she can to make sure I can do the things I love. so this song reminds me of going on night car rides with her or watching a movie with her. Mazzy star is just special to me because I remember my mom telling me she used to listen to these records when she was in high school or college

I can’t help but think about such a special girl when I hear this song. We liked each other, it was so perfect and we had this insane chemistry that I don’t think I’ve ever felt with anyone else, but then I had to leave for Erasmus and she stayed back. When I came back, I told her I liked her, but she told me she had more platonic feelings then and she had to leave for Erasmus as well. To this day, she’s my friend, but when I see her I can’t help but think she’s the love of my life. If wrong time right person exists then this is it. She has a girlfriend now, and all I want is for her to be happy, but I know that if our paths ever cross again and we are not with anyone else then we are meant to be. I hope.
