So i was kinda analyzing Materia's style and ive got a conclusion He punishes your errors in the most efficient way possible, for instance, when you blocked for too long being on his m1 range, he would use a move that ignore that and winds up fast, if you clicked he would side dash to your back the right moment so you dont have time to block, when you did a side dash wrong, he would punish you by what everyone would do ofc, its a passive-aggresive style since if you try to do the same what he will do is attack nearly flawlessly

First one here. Also a way to counter someone better than you. Is to memorize on how their patterns go. Memorize it and counter it. The best way to counter someone is either doing what i said or give it your all and find their weaknesses. Some people can be simple minded and get caught of guard. In this case the person you fought has memorized your fighting style. He memorized every single stun second. Next time you fight him memorize every single move he does.
