I think I'm going to move towards the plant transformation since most of the nature buffs stack with animals and plants combined. Glad you enjoy the build!

Tbh generated rulers are weaker, if you pick existing once or creat good factions it is much better, typically all generated rules are too random to be effective enough, mostly bad social traits like Experienced Seafarers on land map etc., better put some effort into that part next time ;)

Humans suck, that's why this Map has a Seal Victory. But we have no Seal Race. Stupid Penguins can be found and killed, but we can't be Seals? How can I Seal Victory, if I can not be a Seal? ARR ARR!

More DLC is planned, this first season still has an Eldritch theme coming soon. I suspect Giants will get a themed expansion down the road since they're a unique unit type

My dude I have hundreds of hours of AoW gameplay on the channel. This is from a live stream, not a strictly edited gameplay summary, so when topics come up I got to roll with them especially if they're in my field of expertise. I think you're the first person I've ever met that has implied they don't want to hear cool stories about art crime, but to each their own!
