Faerietale of Newark Part 2 | Feeder Fishing for Big River Barbel | The Mighty River Trent

In part 2 of our annual search for a Trent Barbel, we attempt to make up for two days of tough fishing and horrendous weather conditions, as a brighter forecast helps shine a ray of hope on our last day on the river.
We're back on the area of river where we began our Barbel fishing, around 3 years ago, and an area that provides some much needed confidence.
Is there still time to salvage our trip? Is there still time for that faerietale ending?

Conditions here in the East Midlands have been diabolical this Autumn/Winter so fair play to you! You don't always get what you deserve in fishing but glad you shared the lows and highs with us

All ways enjoy your videos guys but what I enjoy the most is the genuine enthusiasium you both show. I have been lucky enough to catch some very big barbel and the shear joy on the big fellas face is something I hope you never loose. I know I never will. I may well bend your ears about loch Awe later in the year if myself and my girlfriend get up there for some roach and pike fishing. Hip replacement depending. Never loose the joy guys.

Well done lads. Looked a tough session, but you both did really well. Where I am on the Severn, 13Lb Barbel are monsters and very, very rare. I'd be very happy with that Bream too to be fair. When they get to proper sizes, they're impressive fish 💪🏻 Really enjoyed the film, and thanks for sharing your time on the Trent with us.

Give it a thought. I'm happy to take you boys out on my boat and also have some cracking bankside spots...
