Ancient Chinese proverb: there is more than 1 way to link a dragon. Jokes aside, thank you for another upload, I'll do my best to share even more unusual ways of playing d-link! Some of my findings post-replays, you might find it useful if you're gonna play this list: 1) If you own time thief xyz, this is a great opportunity to summon him (if you got excess materials) instead of evilswarm nightmare. You get a guaranteed trap monster search in the middle of your combo, which turns time thief xyz into a better version of knightmare unicorn. 2) If you're not a fan of fog blade, you can actually search "Raidraptor's Phantom Knights Claw", which is a counter trap against monsters. It has no revival effect like fog blade, but is a more powerful negation that destroys. 3) Armageddon knight is a card that I added in much later builds, as well as reinforcements of the army. As a rule of d-link, you wanna start all combos with dragons on board, however opening chaos space means that you wont use your normal summon. Armageddon knight can send both PK and Rokket stuff into GY, because both are dark, and he has a convenient lvl4. 4) I've decided to not run chaos ruler, nor hot red dragon archfiend abyss, because milling might cause you to mess up the combo in later half (eg you don't want traps in GY to trigger Brigandine, nor you don't want to mill all PK cards, as it will make bardiche unable to activate). 5) I've also removed fusion package in later builds, it definitely increases the max power potential, but has conflict with rank-up spell, which locks you into xyz. It is possible to play both, but expect certain scenarios where you would brick. 6) I'm particularly proud of the play in 7:20. If you open seyfert and don't need to use his effect to make a board (eg you drew chaos baby dragons), you can save his effect til the end of the combo to guarantee a free draw from noctovision dragon. 2nd large benefit is nocto's GY effect, which wastes opponent's backrow removal attempts, without you having to burn omninegates. 7) Make sure that you keep the zone to the right from bardiche empty, or have rebellion dragon on it at the end of your turn. You will summon requiem dragon to that zone to trigger bardiche's destruction ability. 8) At the end of the day, do not be afraid to experiment, if you have particularly wild ideas feel free to reply to this comment. I am not great at coming up with combos from scratch, but I have a very keen eye on improving existing combos and finding ways to add extra layers on top of it, or ending on more broken board.

Can I ask about the later version of the build, as you mention, - You removed the fusion package so which cards did you replace it with? - The same question as previous but which card did you discard for Armageddon knight + reinforcements of the army?

@@NaughtyNina1240 with opponents' hand traps and disruptions when you are combo-ing, how often did you run into only summoning only XYZ? like only with Dark Requiem on the field or Time Thief or something like that.

@@RustyHarmonica only dark requiem is impossible because you need bardiche to get his components. Bare minimum is bardiche+ requiem and fog blade

It depends on the decklist but I think that the D/D/D Player missplayed starting at 11:11. If she/he only sended Called by and Ragnarök targeting Borrelend and Savagedragon she/he then could go into Oblivionking Caesar or Purple Armageddon via Swamp (if she/he played one of those cards as you should because of the destruction effect of Gilgamesh), also HGenghis would be an option to negate the fusion card to go off. So alternativ my play would be activating droplet sending called by, Copernicus targeting borrel end and savage dragon. Then setting Ragnarök then the spells would be activated then she/he activate swamp where furious dragon needed to be activated here targeting Ragnarök to limit the advantage the DDD player gets from the summon. Evilswarm would be activated stoping the play. If Ragnarök wouldn’t be negated because maybe someone don’t know how problematic this card can be on its own the DDD player could extend even further via Gilgamesh. It wouldn’t change much in the end but it would be a cooler duel.

This is a really nice video! I heard there was dragon link using phantom knight before but this is the first time i see a deck which can make use of its power so well. Amazing!

I can confirm variants of that do exist back in the day. One notable instance was back when VFD was still legal in the TCG and at the time, the only PK main deck monster used was Silent Boots, but even then, it did exist before that. (Bardiche was also pretty strong in that variant too.) But I will give praises for the youtuber for resurfacing this variant of D-Link. I always love seeing innovation to the deck.

@Arman Mukash I'm currently testing around Punk Dragon Link since even w/o Chaos Ruler, we can still make Jam Dragon Drive and can even either extend to Amazing Dragon or even better, End Punisher. Another option is looking at Chaos Dragon Link using Chaos Synchros (aside from the obvious Chaos Angel), specifically Chaos Archfiend, and find uses of it.

Gotta agree on this one, Dark Requiem is really underrated with how monster negate he has. I run him with my Raidraptor deck and it is pretty good at the times, the only thing is he needs Dark Rebellion and a successful rank-up to function properly.

I used him all the time during the duelist cup. You're right though, he rarely sees play because I'm pretty sure most of my opponents thought his negate was once per turn. They were confused when I did it again.

this is a really great way to play pk since as a pk player myself what it really lacks is an omni negate since all pk cards can only negate monster effects, as per my exp this will be a great engine to deal with evenly match, i would like to try and mix more for ophion to avoid getting kaiju lava golem sphere mode & even super polymerization

the combo started same like other d link version, it differs after summoning borrelend, it goes in triangle and then rusty, thats where the xyz started.. so I must say its as consistent as others.. but the guy said if u minus the rapid trigger it will be way more consistent..
