Love this song! How come it wasn't a bigger hit? She promoted it on the biggest talkshows at the time and it's catchy af!

That's what i think is definitely one of my favorite Cyndi Lauper songs so far, along with Change of Heart.

I recorded this performance on VHS. She also sang "Who Let in the Rain." I used to watch it all the time.

I love this song very much but the whole album "Hat Full of Stars" wasn't that great. I prefer "Sisters of Avalon". Anyway Cyndi was very overlooked and underrated in the 90's - just like Belinda Carlisle, Sandra, Laura Branigan, Samantha Fox, Taylor Dayne and Debbie Gibson

Couldn't disagree more -- this is the project where Cyndi really came in to her own. The songs Lies and Feels Like Christmas are among her greatest works. Possible even Who Let In the Rain. Hat Full of Stars and Cold also deserve honorable mentions. The rest of the tracks may be filler but they are all solid in writing, performance and production. While not the commercial success of her debut album, this album is just as solid and much more personal.

I think Hat Full of Stars and Sisters of Avalon are both great albums in their own ways. They are in my top 3 favourite Cyndi albums (along with Shine). Hat Full of Stars was when she was really delving into more personal songs, but I think Sisters of Avalon is more "polished", like a development of where she was with Hat Full of Stars.

I agree with you 100%. Too bad some of them are deceased now... They were great artists!
