My biggest problem with the film was how the education thing came out of nowhere in the second half. I wish the second half continued with the encounter killing with rajini vs amitabh like 'jana gana mana'. If they really wanted to do the education stuff they could have set it up better in the first half.

It didn't come out of nowhere, there were hints in the first half itself (tablets not working, minister's press meet, etc ...) but you failed to notice it.

If the film was just thriller it would’ve been 10 times better. Jana Gana Mana is not a masterpiece but it clearly chose to be a bold thriller where the mass happened through dialogues

The true story telling is in the way Rajinikanth flips in the whole movie and then changes it in the climax beautifully, that itself tells the way the protogonist got changed with his encounter killing approach and rightly taking the way of law which Amitabh tries to address and then again that dialogue as to why he didnt kill and flip of sun glass in jail was cherry on top! That is what every Rajinikanth craves for, long live Rajinikanth!

Introducing Rana Daggubati’s character in the second half without much buildup and the sudden shift to an educational angle sounds like it derailed the plot, which could have been more impactful if done differently. It seems like there were missed opportunities to flesh out the characters and the storyline, and the film's focus may have shifted more towards showcasing Rajinikanth's larger-than-life persona rather than focusing on solid storytelling. It also seems like Gnanavel, the director, might have tried to balance Rajini's star power with a more grounded story, but somewhere in between, the essence got lost. Bringing in Amitabh Bachchan might have felt like unnecessary fan service, distracting from the actual plot. Ultimately, while Rajinikanth fans expect some "Rajinism," too much of it can sometimes take away from the heart of the film if the script doesn't hold up. What could have made the film stronger in your opinion-more focus on the antagonist or a tighter, more coherent narrative?

The film was like all mass films are, justice, poverty, government, corruption the same stuff and of course they need to be conveyed but the film could have done it more visually and more different than just the usual mass action film you expect but the film did do some stuff I liked that was rajanikanth having to justify his actions which I thought was cool since protagonists are often perfect in these type of films in my opinion or in a way they antagonize rajanikanth in a small way but the film was just mass action. The action wasn't too great, the songs were also not that good. I enjoy anirudh's music but for me they all seem every similar and the dialogue is not smart. The film is not great in any way but it's something to watch for some time and leave it. That's my opinion but if there's anything I should know, please do comment than getting angry. This is just my opinion but if theres anything i missed out, comment down.

But killing guna..was ...!!!!..why...?..and an old police officer smashing huge gundas...why he ddnt get arrested when they knew guna was innocent and he was killed for no reason...he just continued to investigate , he should have been suspended , right ,...!.. still a goog watch..everybody gave their best..

because Rajini was tasked to take out Guna, not investigate the case. If you noticed, Rajini killed Guna only after confirming with the Investigating officer, if he was the main culprit or not.
