I wonder if by watching the summary here on KZbin, instead of actually reading the book, I'm becoming a subject of its critique myself..
@geko28673 жыл бұрын
The critique of F451 was information being hidden from the public and burned, the book isn’t actually about “book good, tv bad” even if it seems like it- you’re still getting the same information, just someone elses summary in 6 minutes than the whole book in 2-4 hours :p

I agree! I noticed that when the author described how Mildred would always have seashells in her ears. He used seashells because, typically, seashells are like a music player. People have always said that if you put the seashells to your ear, you can hear something.

Thank you for Course Hero. I have watched all of the video about Fahrenheit 451. It really helps me to understand Fahrenheit 451. I think that the book is still relate of today. Bradbury is talking about how TV make society feel isolation, and now, our challenge is not only TV. But we know, there are social media that try to destroy our life. It makes me thinking, "Social Media, could make people not interested with book". It is same with TV (that Bradbury explain) makes people wasting their time watching it. That's why, Bradbury Fahrenheit 451 is masterpiece to read.

@@TearThatRedFlagDown How are you this slow? Ain’t no way you just said fascism is a form of socialism lmfaoo 😭
@TearThatRedFlagDown3 жыл бұрын
@@haruki2159 I said it's a syndicalist form of socialism, this is factually correct. It's a form of socialism that's inspired by syndicalism. The fascists reject capitalism and Italy's economy relied heavily on central planning, featured state mandated wage and price controls and the abolishment of private property, because the state was the de facto owner of the means of production, just like it is in all socialist regimes. If you wanna call that capitalism, you are a drooling imbecile. This is socialism, just because you are yourself too dumb to understand your own ideology and basic economic concepts it doesn't mean I am wrong. Also, the word fascism comes from the word "fascio" which is often translated to "union", so in other words fascism = trade unionism and in within the context at the time, syndicate and trade union are synonymous.
