@@meb6869 Not entirely true. The NBA Finals weren't always shown on tape delay, just in the very late 1970s and very early 1980s. The NBA had been reasonably popular before that, and title games were shown live in prime time. I wached them live for years. Drugs became a big problem in the second half of the 70s, and sadly a lot of white viewers thought there were too many black players in the league and turned away. That's why the NBA dipped in popularity, then rebounded big-time with Magic and Bird and later Jordan bringing new life and attention to the game. The WNBA didn't dip like the NBA, it has NEVER been popular. Even the gains it has made this season are huge when compared with past WNBA percentages and numbers, but still very low and modest if you look at the big picture. The WNBA will still lose money this season, and viewership for the title game will pale in comparison to other pro sports.

I think some of the women are taking that slight by the sports media personally, and re taking their anger out on Caitlin. This situation is about money, envy, and respect! The sports media and the WNBA are benefitting from the increased interest partially because of the anger, envy, and trolling. Stop it. Remember the NBA became very unpopular during their hard foul, bench clearing fighting phase. And media persons seem to want to raise the level of the attention the WNBA receives to a level closer to the NBA, but by negative media narrative. Man THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS! Crazy thing is, me and some guys at the gym are talking about the women's league for the first time ever😂 we say the exact same thing! It's a bunch of angry black 'welfare lesbians' they are upset because Caitlin Clark is single-handedly changing the Status Quo! All she did was show up and play ball but they mad because they can see the world starting to change around them and they despise it

WNBA: Help Wanted, 6'+ Black, Gay or Trans, slightly overweight, with little desire to share the ball. All others NEED NOT APPLY. We suggest "Overseas B Ball, it more to YOUR liking. How about, now that we are here, we FIX the WNBA more to OUR liking, how does that sound to them? I bet I just Triggered someone, my job here is done.

Excellent Tiger/Caitlin comparison---- both have brought new fans into sports that needed them----the crap that circles around Caitlin is a disgusting reflection of the sorry world we live in---Steven A just knows what to say to his "fans" who live in the sewer of hate and jealousy. Caitlin rises above it all and we love and support her----AND GOOD WILL WIN.

Her AND her fans aren't saying racist nor homophobic stuff. Period. Im all over CC stories and sports in general, and Ive not seen it. If its happened, its incredibly limited to a few fools. Her fans WILL call out folks being racist to CC and hating on her being straight, though. As they SHOULD.

ESPN making CC look bad, and forcing CC to denounce her loyal fans, why? The only reason is because CC brings in millions of people to watch WNBA and most of the vets are jealous and entitled. But, sorry, WNBA became relevant when CC came in, and we the fans enjoyed watching her play basketball. We didn't see her as white girl, CC is an electrifying player and charmingly intelligent, humble and always saying the right words. We are only hearing her color thru black players or ex players. We are from South East Asia, and we admire CC, same how we admire Michael Jordan, or Reggie Miller, or Steph Curry. American Media, please Stop the hate, just enjoy the WNBA basketball while CC is still in it.😊

Caitlin Clark just needs to try to pass, go yellow, Bleached, part N, - Rule number one in the WNBA ^ ESPN to be good you cannot be white, too bad the WNBA and ESPN Rainbow Miafa cannot give Clark the same respect that the best of BLK players have shown and are still giving to Larry Bird and the truth is that some of these same players are starting to give Clark

The coach and some of the Fever players threw that game. It was obvious. It's also obvious that there is a concerted effort to sabotage Clark. Does anyone think it's funny how Angel Reece "just happened" to have a career game against the Fever, in a game that was obviously thrown? And then right on que, Stephen A and the rest of the ESPN pundits are saying that Angel Reese is now the leader for Rookie of the Year. It's almost as if it was all planned out that way. They don't want the Fever to make the playoffs. They don't want Clark to win Rookie of the Year. They don't want her on the Olympic team. They don't want her in the league PERIOD! And you can see everything they are trying to do to her. The commentators at ESPN and others all pretend like it's not happening. The only people talking about it are small youtube channels and people in the comment sections. The WNBA should now be investigated for two things: sexual/racial discrimination and now throwing games, especially when you have large numbers of people betting on those games.....they should be up to their necks in lawsuits right now.

Yea, you save been complaining for decades that your game is as exciting and as competitive as the men’s, should make the same, etc,etc (which is ridiculous). And now you have lighting in a bottle providing so much media coverage, attention, selling out larger venues, etc……and you complain…..well that’s now how we wanted to get the attention. I mostly just watch highlights…I tried watching a game….I cannot believe how many miss layups. Aren’t they like the easiest shot? You yell you’re professionals and as good as the men….i mean these aren’t dunks. Them seeing some of the press conferences. Many of these women need media training.

Clark's biggest achievement in basketball so far has been to show how good Sabrina Ionescu is. Ionescu is beating Clark in almost every stat category. If the issue was race than Ionescu would be facing the same problem. If it were about race explain how Candice Wiggins was treated. If it is about any DEI driven factor it is about sexuality, not race. Both variants of the anti-white narrative are being pushed by people with an agenda that has nothing to do with the WNBA. The primary reason that Clark is getting grief is her anointment as the savior of womens basketball before she ever set foot on a professional court. The narrative is based on a lie itself. "Clark is the greatest college baller evah!!! She broke Pete Maravich's scoring records!!! She had a better college career than MJ!!!!" none of which true. She had outsized ability and played against a lesser competition. Now she is playing against her peers and she is far from dominant. I blame the narrative builders for her reception and she certainly played up to it.
