I decided to remeasure the track two more times (while measuring in more areas for more accuracy) and got two completely different results. How confusing is that? First measurement was 1.68 miles, second 1.58, third 1.53.

I feel like you need to split the series. Keep the scrambled series separate from the regular DTD series. It's like comparing apples to oranges on the leaderboard.

I kinda agree, the regular cars have the benefit of knowing they werent intentionally built to die. With the scrammbled cars you might drive 5 feet and explode, or like this LaGrand, driving with half the car begging to die, but the other half being practically immortal.

That covet hopper on the last landing actually twisted the front axel along with the steering by 90 degrees forwards

With the Hopper Covet the steering kept working just fine on its own axis, but when the driveshaft snapped it twisted 90 degrees in the vertical :)

my going theory about how a damaged motor can last so long is that once piston rings or head gasket go, the power is reduced to the point that barring losing all the radiator fluids at once, should keep it running. with you driving through the water every lap, it cools it, and its not got enough power going through the cooling system to heat it back up to cause further damage. so basically its just too low power to put in any further heat, even more so once you go through the water section.

Some of the LeGran mods like the Aerocoupe were broken after the last major Beam update hence the dodgy texture issues.
