Who would've thought they could "out-do" one of their best
@richhayes43596 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say "out-do," because of the apples/oranges differences in the versions, but I'm definitely surprised that they could do a 'different' re-make that I like AS MUCH AS the original. Very...atmospheric.

Lyrics I've been freezing my time I've been slowing my breath I've been saving my soul I want you to freeze to Are you haunting me again? Are you thawing out my head? I want you to get out... I'm on an ocean that has a brain and makes us dream I'm on a mission to wipe imagination clean You grow inside me dying time and time again I'm on a mission to escape from what my life has been Without you I've been hiding in snow I've been treading on ghosts Are you haunting me again? Are you burning up my head? I will never solve algebra of need Any thought just might turn to flesh and drag me back to life

Reminds me of the song "Not Your Kind of People" from Garbage.. Both have a spacy surreal feel to it.
@Spudnik446 жыл бұрын
Yeah I like the old one more personally, but this is actually a really good version of this song. The old song itself had a haunting theme to it and I like how this one just amplifies that effect.

love it. it took me way too long to make the connection (as obvious as it is) but once I did, some of the lines always give me goosebumps. "any thought just might turn to flesh and drag me back to life". very haunting

Probably a dumb question, but is there anyway to get this version of the track on a CD (on their pledge one perhaps)? Or is it only Vinyl?
@WALLYDRAG5024 жыл бұрын
it reminds me of almost what deftones did with mini maggot. i dig it.
@tornadorundo2 жыл бұрын
it's kinda reverse tho, pink maggit was the original, the record label said "we like the chorus of this song, but we need it to be in a more commercial song" so chino, sort of out of spite, wrote mini maggit to prove how easy it was to make a hit.

Turn to flesh and bring me back to light part sounds a lot like chino moreno from the deftones. It's ken but its got that vibe. I thought chino tried to get ken to produce a deftones record once back in the day? What I heard anyhow. So good.
