Saw them once in concert. Singer looked so scared, nervous, fragile. First note hits of the first song, and this dude comes RUNNIN SENTON straight into us like Darby Allin or Homicide. What a show.

2024, and this song is still in my top 5, maybe my favorite song of all time. It is just perfect from start to finish 🙂

I remember when a guy I worked with at Starbucks in 2004-06 in Fresno was super tight with FTM, and he got some advance copies of this song and their album and I was blown away. I was sure they were gonna blow up, and I guess that’s the music business

After over two years I discovered this band I'm still so in love with it. When I listen to all their songs, even their old demos, I feel they were different. Music has never touched me so deeply before FTM. If you like them you have to listen to the demos, they're even better than the original songs, they feel a lot more authentic.

I had this one song in my iTunes since middle school in 2007, now I'm in college and just decided to add the rest of this album and their newest one a few weeks ago. Holy shit this an amazing and unique band all together. If any of you haven't experienced their full albums you are missing out. I highly recommend buying all their songs

Wow. I first heard this song 7 years ago and it always stuck with me since it was so rare. I tried many times to understand the lyrics that I was convinced it was just a bunch of mumbo jumbo only the singer could make sense of. Now I listen to it and it makes so much sense! The hare and the tortoise are two extremes, the seemingly "strong" and the weak. Fits like a glove under my sleeve, the singer can relate and if you can't "just wait til then" (your trial). "Their heads are the heaviest in operation" Their trial of faith is the hardest, and they are harder to convince because of everything they've gone through. "You can hear him mouth the whole ending" this "him" has gone through the trial and knows what to expect, again, "wait til then" if you can't relate. "We Mary's had ourselves a ball, oh yes we did...I must admit" Mary's I think means like the virgin Mary, innocent. The Mary's are the survivors of the trial, they had a ball because the enjoyed the path of enlightenment. Then "hang us those limbs, hold no virtue" I imagine Jesus Christ hanging from his limbs challenging them to 'not hold back'. "Those told to hold project on my cue" means those who are given the message of holding on are only acting on the demand of a martyr. Because if they didn't already know "to hold" on, then they probably haven't overcame their trial. "Til we fall" once they fall, THAT'S their trial, will they get up again? Listen to proven guarantees even if you feel dignified "rolling up your sleeves", keep it in a jar (be patient) during desperate times "raining cats and dogs for days". "We had a ball, and I guarantee for what they done for you...done for you...done for me" He can vouch for your future success because they did it to him, so he's entitled to make that promise. The harder you fall means that you are BIG! Therefore keep faith! This Song is written from the point of view of a Martyr, I love it!! So clever!

Damn sad how this song has so few views compared to most of the crap that has millions of views. Shows where a lot of people are mentally. Most people can't handle this innovative stuff. They don't have the brain power period. Now,why does this version sound different then the version I have on my MP3 player?

Now I LOVE FTM, But you come off as a real douche saying anybody who doesn't like FTM isn't as smart as you. Get over yourself and enjoy this amazing band.
@danmeme774010 жыл бұрын
Tyler Caswell Eat shit. Obviously what I said went far over your head. Its pretty obvious and easy to see most people can't handle innovative music. Just because I don't put it a certain way to appease to your politically correct way of wording doesn't mean its untrue. The majority of people are simpleton followers. I raise my glass to all the people true to themselves,who are not scared to follow their own paths. Sometimes we have to say it how it is rather then appease to modern butthurtism.
