What brand of 2 stroke oil does she run? TCW3. I’m running 6 gallons of BRP XD-100 on my 8v92 turbo 2 stroke with garret turbo. She’s smoother with a bit more power. This big 2 stroke shown here is oil injected somehow.

Do these run TCW3 2 stroke synthetic? What brand of 2 stroke oil do you run. I got my 8v82 2 stroke turbo to work on BRP XD -100 etec oil 6 gallons. I let’s done off tge gear VRO pump in a blending valve to the fuel line. Then add more in works great and she runs soother with a bit more power. Imagine an OP 2 stroke alcohol ethanol OP with oil injection like tge rotax 850 etec turbo skidoo new sleds. An OP 1700 made from 2 850’s lay down in the sled.

Great video! In FL, at Koreshan State Park, the have a 1925 Fairbanks Morse that ran off and on from 1926 to about 1946 or 47. One like it powered a Westinghouse generator for a utopian society that lived there before it became a park. The one they restored is the same as the one that used to be there and came from a creamery. The local single throw guys restored it and run it every Saturday. I hope I have this story correct. These are wonderful to see!

Now I would love to make a skidoo rotax 1700 OP 2 stroke made from 2 850 etec engines. Kay it in tge sled with silver turbo. Same with a Polaris. Tge 38 8 1/8 is oil injected somehow and I wonder how they would run on synthetic 2 stroke oil. I run 6 gallons of BRP XD-100 etec oil in my 8v92 2 stroke and Iet some off the gear VRO pump to blend with tge fuel with a mixing valve. I did some amsoil interceptor 2 stroke oil. She runs smoother with a bit more power now. A alcohol FB OP with castor 827 maxima 2 stroke oil would be something. The OP 2 stroke in snowmobiles would be insane. A 1700 Polaris OP patriot for 2 850’s in turbo new khaos sled.

I used to have to rebuild a Buda engine this size every two years. It was a 6 cylinder with three split heads. The oil pan/base was big enough for a party of 4 to use as a hot tub. They tried to unload it with a hoist from a semi wrecker and it just folded the boom. Silicone seal was just coming into use. and having used it on other rebuilds I knew what great stuff it was. I just finished the engine and the customer came in who was an old guy. He immediately wanted to know what the blue shit was. I explained what great stuff it was and how oil leaks disappeared with it. He got mad as hell and demanded I tear the engine down and redo it with shellac. It was a one man job to rebuild this thing (me) and I will never forget what this guy did. For me it was the engine from hell.

The pulley ran a DC generator to “excite” the main alternator.
@millomweb
@millomweb 3 жыл бұрын
@@allenalonzo9245 That's a big pulley for that purpose and in any case, exciters are commonly on the same shaft and not that big and usually once the main generator's providing power, the separate exciter's not necessary. Perhaps FM designed things differently !

@@millomweb contrary to what everyone says these are minimalist engineered engines. They simply built them bigger than they had to and in the easiest way they could. Raw mass high torque and low rpms are where the magic is actually taking place.

The engine is in its new permanent home at the Zagray Farm Museum in Colchester Ct. Three weekends a year we open our doors to show off our collections of all things mechanical as well as a giant mechanical themed flea market. This engine generated backup power for the New Britain CT. Water company up until the late 90s. It was offered to us and some forward thinking members rescued it and dedicated hundreds of hours to build a building around it and restore it. Check out the engine being set into place on this channel! The Northwest 80D used is one of 4 we have working at the farm.
