basis of all the great musicianship in the country, local community and civic pride. why are the schools and authorities turning their back on music. the bands are unique in what they can offer in community, musicianship. and youth and children. I play at the end of the row - 4th cornet and have done for 35 years - not good enough to go further! - but never a regret, only fulfillment in finding a dedicated pastime.

jane weston , I fully agree with what you say . It helped me with maths at school and it also helped me to be a member of a team .
