Fairlane Village Mall and Schuylkill Mall (Demolished)

Two malls...one day. Sort of. I took a drive out to tour dead malls of Schuylkill county and found Fairlane Valley Mall...stale, dead, and undergoing a renovation, and Schuylkill Mall...a post-mortem pile of cinder blocks and brick.

First, it's Fairlane Village Mall, minor fix. Overall, decent effort. It's interesting to see the progress being made, I wonder if there even going to have an external entrance for Dunham's. About a decade ago, this mall was really really decent, and hoping that Dunham's can help with a turn around.

My opinion is that it's heading in the right direction. The anchors seem healthy, the eateries had customers, and the best way to save something is to redevelop. Apparently Dunham's was well liked when it was in Schuylkill and is specialty enough that it's not gonna be "just another of the same". I think this mall will eventually survive.
