First of all this guy should know that there is a huge difference between preference and discrimination. preference is ok but discrimination is not. Preference to look fair is ok but these fairness cream are misusing and selling something that does not work, they are committing a fraud. I bet he will not marry an acid surviror who is burnt on her face (though there is one great person in India who loved someone before an acid accident and then married and they have a kid now) but he will go for someone who is beautiful which eventually translates to fair looking. should he marry someone who is not just to prove that he stands for equality and screw up her life too?. There are dark girls who are beautiful too, I myself am dark and damn proud of it and I never apply fairness cream, but I am also for people doing what they want and to have their preference. Many dark colored people dont put it on because they are racist to themselves because they think and look beautiful. Everybody has their right to look beautiful..I liked some part of his comedy in this but like always he is so damn prejudiced. I wouldn't be surprised if he calls one racist if they shave their grey beard because it had turned grey.

Well... When marco polo came to India he noted especially that people in india love black skin so much that all deities and incarnations of god were dark skin(shiva, Krishna, ram, draupadi etc.) Especially in south India where god idol was made up of black marble... And they considered white people as monsters bcoz they were from cold barren land(europe is still not very fertile for agriculture) and ate animal meat which was considered barbaric... But then came british and their propaganda (like white man's burden) and lord Macaulay did a real number in brainwashing the indians... From what I know in India, God's be it Krishna, Rama, Shiva, Vishnu were depicted of darker skin than people around them. I think this is more from colonialism.

*It's not just about Caucasian propaganda.* *Lighter skin has some definite Medical advantages over darker skin.* It's less prone to hyperpigmentation. Less Melanin will give you different eye colors (green, blue, hazel) and lighter lips (pink,red) and hair (red, blonde, brown) etc. Some of these combinations can look visuallly pleasing. Some "White" skin types like Fitzgerald scale 2 and 3 tend to "tan". That gives a golden or bronze hue that darker skin just cannot get. Lighter skin also had disadvantages. e.g. Prone to Photo Damage which "may" cause cancer. But the effects are slower and more gradual and if you wear sunscreen you can pretty much avoid them. Hyperpigmentation is really hard to get rid of and it will give your skin an uneven and unpleasant look. That's probably the biggest disadvantage of dark skin. So saying that "White skin is better is just propaganda" is not true. Finally a small note about Caucasian people. They don't just have "fair skin". They are in general taller, stronger and pleasing to look at because of the eye-skin color combination(stress on "in general"). This is a very wild generalization, but you get the point. Ram was blue and Shiv is grey is just not going to cut the mustard here. These mythological characters are famous because of their righteousness, wisdom etc. Not because of their looks. (Anyhow "Saraswati" is described as "White like flower and the Moon and clad in white clothes". That's not the point here. She is goddess of knowledge and learning.) Anyhow, any skin color can look "presentable" if you try to maintain even tone and take care of not just your skin but entire body. White skin and flabby gut still look bad.

In veda it is said that asur and deva all were son to same father. Asur was a term given to anybody who had more negative personality, more tamsik. Many gods like krishna are explained as dark skinned. Goddess kali, also shown dark skinned. Even ram who was called arya putra was described as shyam, which is dark shade of brown. So how did aryans and dravidians got divided based on skin color? Also there are no dravidian race. At the most I believe that May be two different tribes developed in india at same time, and coexisted with each other. But this invasion or migration theory of arya is a total myth. Nowhere in vedas is mentioned about such migration or invasion.
