To Beirut I welcome you with all my heart, Beirut! I'm blowing kisses The sea and the houses, A rock that looked like an old sailor's face. You are created from the soul of the people, From wine, blood and sweat, bread and Jasmine. How come it's got your scent now The smell of smoke and fire? To Beirut... Greatness from the dust… To Beirut... From the blood to the baby on his hands... My city has put out its lamp, He closed his doors, Left alone, Alone with the night. I welcome you with all my heart, Beirut! I'm blowing kisses The sea and the houses, A rock that looked like an old sailor's face. You're mine! Yes, you are mine! Give me a hug! You're mine! You are my banner, You are my tomorrow's tombstone and the journey of the waves. And the wounds of my people have blossomed A mother's tear. You're mine! You're mine! Hold me tight!

@@resumewriterbrian Reading is a skill 1. I never claimed to be an expert on Lebanese culture. I have extremely close friends that live there for several years were educated there and survived many hardships (like Civil War, power outages daily (like being stuck on an elevator for 11 hours ), a government that uses money for itself and not the people …. The 2020 power plant explosion ) that talk about it. Maybe you haven’t noticed that since October 7 there’s been another war going on there with Israel that is turning into genocide. How about you do the whole world of favor and never ever ever reply to a post with hatred in your heart since you don’t have the slightest clue what you were talking about. Once again, I never claim to be an expert, but those people who have survived and lived in Lebanon for over a decade I’m gonna listen to them and respect their opinion Your post was filled with jealousy. That was a big hit, a big explosion that destroyed everything in its path, a big catastrophe for this beautiful city. Beirut has seen destruction and ruins before but the resilience and the spirit of its people has helped to rebuilt it again. Beirut, beautiful Beirut, Paris of the Midddle East, let's hope this is the last time you suffer destruction of this magnitude, let's hope this is the last time you suffer any destruction of any kind. Beirut, beautiful Beirut, stand on your feet again, you can do it, you've done it before. It may take a few years but you can do it. The world is with you, the world will help you to become a great and beautiful city again. One of my wishes is to come and visit you one day. В рекомендации попала лекция о "душе Ливана", практически остановшую гражданскую войну, после прослушивания которой я решила послушать Файруз. Боже, насколько это прекрасно и душевно!

Beautiful song and very emotional performants of Fairuz , the beautiful melody is from Rodrigo's Conserto of Aranjues for gitarre second part. One of the most beautiful melody compost. This is the most emotional and the best version of this composition.

Muito triste em ver o Líbano, mais uma vez em condições de penúria. Que seja a última! Que possa se reerguer como das outras vezes e que sejam prósperos , sem guerras, sem bombas, sem discórdias, enfim, que sejam felizes.
