This is actually hitting down....and not what is called sweeping. Sweeping is what you have to do if you hit driver off the deck. She is clearly hitting down.....same swing as with irons or hybrids. It's a clear mistake to call this a sweep. There is nothing wrong with taking a slight divot with a fairway wood. Sweeping is when people swing more around....as opposed to down.

So far I've been trying to practice with S, P, 9, 8, and 7 irons. But no matter which iron I use, I could only reach about 70 meters. These are some good tips for hitting the ball off the deck. The 3 wood is my less favorite club, too! 😝 A few weeks, I decided to try working with my fairway wood (only have one, Cobra F6 3-4 wood, normally set to 16 degrees). I decided to choke down on the grip when hitting from the fairway & now I’m hitting it more constantly! I hit it well off the tee box with a normal grip, though.

Hi Michelle it’s amazing you respond to so many comments - returning to golf after many years it’s been a wake up call that I was just looking at the white round thing in a random unfocused way rather than really concentrating on focusing my vision on an area of the ball or visualising the club travelling through a line through the ball during my swing , it’s made a real difference that focus on an impact area or spot - do you agree and have you done a video on this ?

Another solid video! You are very athletic & conditioned. I worry that me and many golfers who are not in shape will produce lots of torque and strain to their lead leg during the pivot & transition. Is there a good way to reduce this "excessive" torque to be more gentle on our ligaments, minimize pain and protect our bodies until it gets stronger, without compromising the effective mechanics and principles of the swing? Thanks.

I've taken my wood right out of my bag in favor of a hybrid 3. Yes, I'm sacrificing some yards, but for the life of me I haven't been able to count on the 3 wood and my bag is lighter when I'm carrying it when it stays in my garage. I'll spend some time at the range with it, maybe eventually I'll become comfortable with it, but right now I'm really not.
