He went from trying to kill Natsu, to following his orders when in Battle. I went from hating his character to really enjoying his screen time. I do still prefer Juvia and Gajeels redemption story, but Laxus is nothing to be scoffed at

Pvt. Church Gildarts , Jellal & Gray - ok I like them too. One of mine favorites. Natsu - for f**k sake. This is my most hated character off all time. Elfman - meh Laxus - pretty cool but there's many more interesting characters in Fairy tail ( Loke for example )

Hella late, but to any newcomers. He always cared about the Guild. Just in a different way. He figured that in order to be the best guild, they had to be the strongest. Through Fairy Tail members like Natsu & Lucy he learned there's more to a guild than that, so he went away to process that new way of thinking.

Must confess Laxus redemption story made him the most interesting character in FT universe. Dude actually went from the one who wanted to genocide the whole Magnolia’s city just to be the one who rules it all (Fairies vs Faities Arc) to the one who actually saved that exactly whole Magnolia City from the mortal disaster by sacrificing his own life in the Tartar’s Gates Arc.
