Somehow, a man and a bear became friends, and decided to grow crops together.
Early one morning, they came to the field before the sun had even risen. The man started to work right away, while the bear just daydreamed about the future harvest.
When the work was done, they decided how to best divide their harvest. The man said:
“I will take the roots. And you, Bear, will take the stems.”
They both agreed. Together, they grew a field of radish, and collected it.
As they'd agreed, the man took the roots, and gave the stems to the Bear.
The Bear realized that he made a mistake- he only got the stems and began to cry:
“R-r-r… you tricked me. Next time we harvest, you won’t trick me again.”
Next year came, and the man said to the bear:
“Come on Bear, let’s harvest again.”
“Let’s, but this time you are taking the stems, and I will take the roots.”
“Fine”. - said the man- , “your choice.”
This time again, the man planted the seeds himself. Meanwhile, the Bear caught fish for himself.
The crops bloomed. The man took the stems, and gave the roots to the Bear.
The man separated the grain, ground the flour, and made pancakes. And the bear again was left with nothing. Well, you get what you work for.
After that, the man and the bear ended their friendship.
