Part of me wishes there was a last-minute, unexpected twist, like Duck was actually enchanted and used to be a little human girl and the lake water transformed her (because we never see her family or any other duck-members, hehe), so after successfully ending the story with Fakir, she gets to go back to being human and well....:wedding bells: Idk, i just love these two together!

Honestly one of the few anime that I'm actually okay for the animator to change the ending differently from manga. I watch the anime first then luckily few years later my cram school friend actually have the complete manga. After reading the ending in the manga I was completely glad that they hinted Ahiru ends up with Fakir in anime even though it's was open ending. The manga, while Ahiru actually become human(forgot the specific WHY's) is hinted to be with Mytho which I am not hating it but Fahiru is my OTP 'till now. And I honestly like how Mytho ends up with black haired girl

manga and anime are produced simultaneously and the original is anime. The sister who prepared the manga (I forgot her name) stated that she prepared it without paying attention to the anime. Which is evident from the change of many characters. Drosselmayer is not in the manga, edel-san is the villain, I don't remember pike but there is another character instead of lily.
