Hey I want to make graph of crack length vs sifs . But this give graph of contour vs sifs how I can do please tell

That's interesting, So one way of doing that is by incrementally increasing the defined crack length in the same model or in newly copied models and then calculating the SIF for a longer crack. You will get a data point from each simulation model and will have to run enough simulations that you can construct the desired plot.

Sir could make a video on how to plot crack propagation with number of cycle in fatigue loading in Abaqus because there are no videos available on the internet for the same

Dr. Qayyum, thank you for the videos you have been uploading. These have been very helpful and I have recently read a couple of your papers as well. Such great works you have been doing :) I am currently working on a project related to free vibration analysis of foam core sandwich composite. Between the lamina and foam core, there is a very thin layer of adhesive. Now, my question is- do I need to apply the cohesive properties in the adhesive layer? A couple of seniors have told me that as long as there is no damage test or delamination happens in the structure, then no need for applying the cohesive properties in the free vibration analysis.

Thank you very much for your encouragement. I am not an expert and cannot fully understand the overall work you are performing. Having said that, I will agree with your seniors. Start simple, and slowly add complexity to the problem to a point it is inevitable. Simulations are no way substitute for experimental observations, they just assist in providing detailed information in addition to experimental observations. If you are not interested in the analysis of the thin layer of adhesive and defining it will not change the results (i.e. is generally remains intact throughout the process) just define a simple interaction between the lamina and foam core by assuming appropriate interaction properties and move on with your analysis. I hope this answers your question.

@@FaisalQayyum I understand your point of view Sir. Thank you very much for your descriptive reply. I will carry on the project simulation with the basics first and if I get supportive results, then I will continue with more realistic approaches. Thank you again and hope to connect with you on Researchgate :)
How is the amp-for pin set when U2=0 and U1=0 are applied? Thank you

They are zero in the initial step, this condition is modified in the load step. Please watch my other videos and you will understand the point

What is the plane size of the plate?

In this case, it was not important, you can define it in your simulation if you want to.

Hello. I want to plot the force displacement curve for this case. How do I do that?
@FaisalQayyum3 жыл бұрын
That is quite easy, you can easily find videos of others on this topic. I can also make a video related to this in the future if you are interested.

@@FaisalQayyum Hi, I have the exact same problem as this guy had. I need to create a 3D internal elliptical or circular crack inside a block of material under static loading. Would you please be able to help?

Can you please me what exactly is contour integral when we are assigning a crack? what is contour integral number in history output section?
