@@jaredmckinney7015 I’m a new spiritual creation but our flesh will always have a sinful nature. There’s so many scriptures that talk about crucifying your flesh and the sinful nature of our flesh. Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, and He said to His disciples, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). If he warned his disciples about their flesh I even more have to understand my weakness and guard against it.

Joel, I have watched many of yours and Dalton’s teachings. And I want to say that this and the previous one with Dalton were such incredibly blessed teachings. They brought conviction where it was needed and lament for the falling away that I have also watched in so many dear loved ones over the last 12 years now. I agree with you! In John 17:15 Jesus prayed the Father not to take His people out of the world but to keep them from the Evil one. Jesus had told the Church of Philadelphia, “See, I have set before you an open door, which no man can shut.” It will be a triumphant time (along with great tribulation) with an innumerable host of saints from every nation, tribe, and language (Revelation 7:9-14). Yet, it will be a time of great joy through tribulation. Imagine the joy in heaven during this time! Individuals within each church are challenged by Jesus to be an overcomer. Revelation 12:11 is key to overcoming.

As to apostacy, I consider Jesus parable of the soils indicates that many start off with joy in the good news but fall away, not being rooted but shallow or choked by the competing loyalties and gods of this world. It’s so refreshing to hear a message like this. Patient endurance wins the race. Man if we’re living our “best life now?” Then we have a big, big, problem! I hate hearing about a person walking away from the faith and being told, “They were never really a Christian anyway” as if they know? People believing they can NEVER fall away from the Lord??? No good! Of course you and I can, and many times do, fall away from the Lord. I have done it but He graciously brought me back, but I’ve seen others be on fire for God, their lives change drastically, turn to the Lord with everything they are, and yet years later be right back in their sin and wanting nothing to do with Christianity. Or those who believe they are still serving and living for God when they’ve compromised their lives so much, little by little, until they don’t even resemble their former selves. I’ve watched it happen! I know they were saved and genuine in the faith, only to walk away from it and even die in that condition! I’ve seen it. It actually happens more than we care to admit or even acknowledge. If there’s coming a great “falling away” then what are they falling away from??

Jesus prayed to the Father "SANCTIFY them (purify, consecrate, seperate them for yourself, make them holy) by TRUTH; Your WORD IS TRUTH (John 17:17). I can't help but identify with you as having close people who were once strong believers and are now completely opposite. For me, it's my family. I grew up in a strong Christian home and now am the only one in my family still walking with Christ. I pray daily that God grabs ahold of their hearts and brings them to repentance. I've had my periods of backsliding, but for whatever reason God has kept me in Him and I'm beyond thankful for it. My only desire is that as we progress closer to the Lord's return, that he keeps me from that "strong delusion" that leads to my falling away.

The drought of the end times is not for food, or water ,but for the truth of the knowledge of the word of God. He says you will find him , when you search for him with all your heart. Ask him for the truth ,and he will give it to you. Have faith. Believe what the word says. He will give you only what he knows you can handle at the level you are on. It is not a chore to live for Christ, because when you love him you become a NEW CREATURE when you love him with all your heart. It is a privilege to suffer for our Lord, to live for him. Sometimes he will take away everything you think you know ,and habe ,so all you have is him.

Our heavenly Father recently impressed upon my heart to consider everything rubbish compared to the great privilege of following Yahshua; to glory and take pleasure in my physical infirmites because, if I will allow them, they will help make me stronger spiritually; and to hate my life, give up everything and carry my cross.
