In this July 4th weekend teaching, Pastor Gary explores our country’s historical Christian heritage as well as our freedom in Christ. Faith and Freedom go together-both physical and spiritual. Many men and women laid down their lives to secure our liberties, and the Church should continue to be salt and light in our world to preserve and maintain those liberties. Thank you pastor Gary, you know you are begin to understand the value of freedom when you lose it. I had been living in the east part of Ukraine and I was seeing my eyes what russians were doing when captured Donbass. They began to close churches and many pastors and leaders were persecuted. Now it allowed to be only for russian orthodox church and some puppet protestants churches (at least two are still opened). Freedom is the priceless gift for us.

We are a democratic country but there is no religious freedom because there is no Bibilical principles of governance by the BJP govt. the party leading the country. Infact it is an anti-Christ govrnment. My request to the Cornerstone Church - Please pray for Manipur state of India. This was a good history lesson. - great pitch and plea and presentation for US patriotism. Besides the 30 secs or so given to the reading of Psalm 33, the teaching was extremely light on the actual material and meat of the Bible and its Holy Scriptures. Completely missing is the Gospel and its message, the only Hope humankind has for salvation of their soul. Through salvation (regeneration), there is a potential to rescue this fallen nation, a nation under Divine Judgment. Listen to the sermon again. Does it convict one of one’s sin? Does it clearly resound with the Gospel? May GOD rescue those from teachings such as these and bring them to a recognition of truth. Sin is not something man simply does, but rather sin is something man is. Only thru genuine repentance and belief in the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST is there any hope. Remember, GOD has not promised to save or preserve any world nation. On the contrary, HE promises to totally make all things new in the context of regenerated, fully glorified believers and a new cosmos dwelling with the very GOD we so love, honor, adore, glorify and worship.

@@jodyann77 Why did I "even watch it"? Ummm... this is where I was attending worship at the time. How utterly self-righteous are you? And forgive? There would need to be an offense. I sat under the teachings of Gary for 2+ years and applaud him for his stand on practical moral ethics - his engagement with politicians who are believers or hold to many principles of believers. There is no offense to me and thus no need to "forgive". Perhaps instead of judging me for "bruising your loyalty to the preacher", you should analyze the comment for objective truth. Where in this message is the Gospel presented? Do you know what the Gospel is? And this question is not intended to be disrespectful to you. But when JESUS says "repent and believe" in Mark 1:15, do you truly know what genuine repentance and belief means? If you don't, as I find many church-goers do not, you won't understand my passion against pulpit teachings "light" or completely void of the Gospel message.

👎🏻 Only when you experience the spiritual freedom of Christ in you (Col1:27), will you realise that physical/religious freedom is of no consequence. Jesus was killed through anarchy & injustice (Acts8:33). And His born-again children are called to follow Him in that (1Pet2:21).
