@@EricSmith-jo1lt I get what you're saying but being a fan of hers for so long there are times when it's evident that she is sick or needs vocal rest. I do believe that this is one of those times where she was sick. She definitely pushed through, but you can tell by the run placements and her going mid on what would usually be high notes that she's not 100%. Plus the little cough in the beginning and sweat (although she does sweat a lot) might also be indicators. I'd be more inclined to agree with this about more recent performances, but 5 years ago her voice was still in tip top shape. Even since then on live performances (later in 2017 Mary did you know, lady of soul 2018 etc) you can tell she could still hit the notes and give an excellent performance. Even as late as 2021 with Gwen Bunn on Between the Lines she still sounds good so I don't necessarily agree, but I respect your opinion.
