The location of this property is out of this world. More beautiful and unique than some of the locations of the leading hotels of the world. Very serene and peaceful, a tropical oasis, a tranquil place in heaven. I have been to the Exuma's on numerous occasions and yes the water is absolutely turquoise. I am sure the power couple is very happy there. What an achievement.

Being in the middle of nowhere and being extremely wealthy people. I would have had a safe room/house built on the island before taking residence. A safe room from when anyone decides to land on your island and hold you up or kidnap you, ( seriously who will you call if they do 911?) and also something strong enough to withstand hurricanes and tsunamis . @@laurenb.9958 Sadly... Remember hurricane Dorian destroyed Marsh Harbour and Scotland Cay. Sisters friend's home and others damaged on that private island and a neighbors home destroyed. You can see a video clip of Marsh Harbour of a helicopter flying and when they get to Scotland Cay.. You see the damage..and friends pink/white house standing..neighbors home obliterated. Neighbors house had just been sold weeks prior...😪 Scotland Cay doesn't have much greenery left on satellite views if you Google it. I couldn't live on and island as beautiful as the waters and areas are. Too isolated.. And shopping expensive. Florida living is more my speed.. Lol

And when a hurricane blows through ... Friend of a friend actually owns a private island off Abaco in the Bahamas. The two homes were mostly destroyed during Hurricane Irma. Three + years later they are almost finished rebuilding house #1. Too much of a hassle for my taste.

You aren't the only one to consider storms, and they certainly didn't just "forget" about the possibility of storms on these islands. It is all planned into the designs - and they understand the risk AND they clearly are willing to put up any $$ for the required repairs if a particularly bad storm hit. If they spent $35M on a property they probably barely visit, they have the resources to fix it.

For the price of foot of all those palm trees being shipped to Florida, they should’ve invested another $2.13 per palm tree and purchased coconut trees, it would be awesome if that island produced some kind of food or fruit. As usual, when considering real estate the cons could be more important than the pros and that goes doubly with this beautiful island. Some of the negatives would have to be: 1- Storms and bad weather, distance from health care, distance from everything, security concerns, staffing costs, the need to take a plane to get closer to everything, insects and animals, suitability for kids and family members, the added cost of food and supplies, and other problems. So, it is quite possible that having your own island may be a better idea as a second, or third, or part-time residence.

Listening to the guy explain those extras had me wondering. The 2 generators, what do they run on? Solar, Diesel, Gas or Natural Gas? The 64k tank has reverse osmosis system but what's the water source? Rain catchment, an AWG or a desalinization system? For a private island these things are important information.
